Famous People That Annoy Me

Strangely, I've recently seen movies starring Grant and Sandler that made me rethink their level of ability to annoy. They definitely retain most of that ability, but I was somewhat impressed in the films.

While I don't usually like to watch comedies, I did enjoy 50 First Dates, starring Adam Sandler, as well as Bitter Moon, starring Hugh Grant. Although, Bitter Moon isn't a comedy. It's a Polanski film.

I'd LOVE to see it, if anyone has it! Thanks!

things I Like Doing On Listology

I've been on a hiatus from Listology, due to an excessively busy schedule, but I've noticed the Netflix queues are gone. Am I missing something? I really enjoyed seeing what people were planning to rent.

Audition Review

I'm always looking for something that can disturb me. Isn't that weird? Well, I rarely find it. I find that many horror films and novels are like a drug that begins to lose its effect. I can honestly say, I found REAL disturbance in Audition. That movie TRULY bothered me. I'm glad for that! I was literally squirming in my seat.

I'd like to say, now: If anyone can recommend something that you think might disturb me, please do. :) It's an emotion I rarely experience, but when I do, it makes me feel alive!

Do You Pay More Attention to Lyrics or to the Melody?

That would definitely be a stumbling block in listening to foreign music. Had I listened to the song myself, I never would have guessed the story line or the meaning. I would have missed that. I could probably feel that the song had certain emotions attached to it, but the cause and effect of those emotions would surely be missed.

I think many of our music artists would do well to use stories in their songs. I can hardly stand to listen to the radio. Most of it is bland, no feelings attached. The songs on the radio are definitely missing something!

Do You Pay More Attention to Lyrics or to the Melody?

If you are lucky enough to understand the French words, that is. :) For me, I'd just have to use my imagination, I suppose! Since I've not had much experience with French music, what is it about the songs that makes the lyrics so important? Frankly, there are many English songs that sometimes I'd just prefer to cut the lyrics and listen to the music.

Movies I'll Never See

I take that back. I watched Twisted last night thanks to a friend, and I really enjoyed it!

Now I should rethink the contents of this list.

I STILL won't see From Justin to Kelly, though. :)

Poll: What do you think of: Christopher Lee?

He's just plain sexy. :) I don't know if my being female explains my reason for liking him, but he definitely had me convinced in Dracula A.D., 1972. I would have gladly donated blood.

I'm one of the few who can admit to having seen him in Eugenie. Although, I don't think he really knew just quite what he got himself into, if what he says is true. *giggles*

The Handsome and the Beautiful of the Famous People

Thank you! I sampled some of your lists and answered a few of your polls. One in particular I just couldn't bring myself to vote on because I liked all the choices! In the poll, you asked about the greated horror icon. I just couldn't choose.

As you will see mentioned, I'd gladly donate blood to Mr. Lee. :) Well, at least to his character, Dracula. I doubt that Mr. Lee would appreciate me throwing my jugular into his face.

Things I hate

So far, all of these are horrible. I HATE the feel of sand between my toes. I can't stand walking on a beach bare-footed. The grittiness of sand gives me involuntary shudders.

Spiders - ewww. I won't kill them, but I don't like them, either.

War - "What is it good for?"

Poll: Greatest Horror Film Icon?

I can't vote!! It's a tie for me between Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee! But goodness there are some wonderful choices on here. Vincent Price!! Peter Cushing! Bela Lugosi! You make it so difficult to choose.

Indeed! Sleepy Hollow reigns as one of my favorite movies. So it seems you have surmised, correctly! :)
