I would argue Original Pirate Material by The Streets for 2002...I remember it actually having a pretty considerable critical impact at the time, and The Streets have since become a pretty prominent artist.
Well, the movie would have been better had Mrs. Zelwegger not been in it. I think it's worth checking out just for the music and Jude Law's performance.
The official name of the album (it's on the side of the case) is actually Illinois. I guess the cover is just artwork, and the title is part of the art...or something. Nevermind.
I would check out the new Sufjan Stevens album...I think you'll like it.
While you're at it, check out his last two albums as well. Partially, I think you might be interested because he is one of the few accepted Christian singers in the indie scene. His music is also just awesome.
Glad you loved In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. I must definitely recommend Architecture in Helsinki's In Case We Die. If you liked Funeral for its originality (as I did), you'll like AiH. They also get compared to Mates of State a lot in my circle of music-listening buddies.
Hmm...L...this may be our biggest disagreement on a movie ever. I gotta say, Revenge of the Sith is probably gonna be my least favorite movie of the year.
Hoever, your review is one of the only ones I've read that helps me understand why anyone liked it. So, I won't hold it against you.

L, I have forgotten...have you listened to Sufjan Stevens?
If not, I must insist upon it. Start with Seven Swans, if you can.

Anyways...that's why it's called Illinois.
I dunno, do you?
This always happens in the summer...I know I, for one, am nowhere near a computer most of the time.

Not usually...nothing personal to the genres.
11. David Bowie - "5 Years"
18. Joanna Newsom - "Sadie"
I'm glad to hear it. It's always nice to know that I'm not alone in my crazy worship.
I haven't heard the new Fatboy Slim, but I like the new Gorillaz single.
No, I haven't yet...but when I do, it will be long and detailed.

;)
I finally downloaded Max Richter's album, but I haven't really had a chance to listen to it. I'll be sure to let you know what I think when I do.
