My favorite top 50+ overlooked modern atmospheric uplifting trance tunes

I was taking a bicycle ride today and had my ear plugs in. I heard a song which I haven't heard for a long time: Probspot - Blueberry (2004). This was one of my favourite trance songs for years. I still think it's amazing now. Do you know it? It might be a good contender for this list.

Cheers

BEST 1000 DANCE TRACKS [1984-2009]

Hi Dazzamack. The last 2 weeks I've been working on a website. It is about the history of electronic music, subgenres (also about albums and artists, but that isn't implemented yet). The website is very shallow at the moment, but I'm looking for people with a lot of knowledge about electronic music who can help to fill some of the holes. Could you take a look and maybe give some tips on music genres / the website?
The website is www.electronicmusichistory.com

Regards,

Hey Dazzamack. I heard a nice song this week (maybe you know it already). Westbam ft. Nena - Oldschool Baby (Piano Mix). It sounds a lot like the oldschool piano hardcore songs, but is a lot newer (2002). Let me know what you think.

BEST 1000 DANCE TRACKS [1984-2009]

Hey DazzaMack, are you still updating the list? Maybe you should make a website or something (for everyone listening to electronic music), Listology seems to be lagging lately (random errors and sometimes hours of downtime). I have a little more time right now, so I have time to take a listen to the songs on your list.

BEST 1000 DANCE TRACKS [1984-2009]

Hi Dazzamack,

I have 2 songs in my collection which I want you to hear. Maybe you know them. I think these are progressive trance songs like they should be, both by Humate:
- Schiller - Ruhe (Humate Remix)
- Saints & Sinners - Peace (Humate Remix)

I already have a lot of progressive trance songs, but few of this kind (long and trancey buildup and a breakdown with a lot of strings). Do you know more songs of this kind?

Hey Dazzamack,

I see you're still updating the list. I've some recommendations for you.

DJ Flex - Love 4 You
Diveman - Arpa Del Mar
The Ambush - Sun (long classic trance masterpiece)
I see you have Galaxia by Moonman on your list, but do you know the Qattara remix? It's very good.
While I'm talking about Qattara: Qattara - Qattara (Pure Mix)
Hypertrophy - Eternal Flames (John B Norman vs. Killerloop Remix)

I hope you like some of them.

Greetings

Solid choice. Thanks. It has to be one of my favourite late 90's trance songs.

50 Top Trance Songs For Newer Generations

Hmm, good list. A lot of songs which I haven't heard. I'm going to give them a try. And you're damn right about Sunrise (Tiesto Remix), I think it even deserves to be at number 1. It is (imo) the best anthem trance song there is.
And I have to admit (just like any trance listener), I also started off with DJ Sammy, Alice Deejay, DJ Mystik, Gigi and the likes. But that is over 4 years ago. I was also born in the early 90's (1991) and never experienced the first years of trance. I did some research myself and, like you said, it sounded strange the first time. But I've really gotten into it, and it has become one of my favourite genres.

Greetings from The Netherlands

- Flutlicht - The Fall
- Dutch Force - Deadline
- Deep Dish - Say Hello
- Clanger - Seadog
- Tim Deluxe - Choose Something Like A Star
- Solid Sessions - Janeiro

BEST 1000 DANCE TRACKS [1984-2009]

Hey Dazzamack,

I found it after a long search. Here is the link: http://www15.zippyshare.com/v/22192377/file.html
I think this version is way better than the Club Mix or the Ferry Corsten Mix.

Greetings.

Hmm, Greece 2000.. You just took one of the songs I really love. It sounds simple, but OK. Trance songs don't need to have many layers for it to sound interesting. The melody in Greece 2000 sounds a little out of pass, but it really isn't. This is a cool feature of the song. But hey, those are only our opinions. I think I listen to trance for over 4 years now, I was born in the early 90's, the beginning years of trance. I also never heard the stuff on the radio, only later stuff like Gouryella and Robert Miles - Children. I started off with songs by Hyrdoid (Greek Trick & The Eternal) and Scoop - Drop It. I thought these songs were awesome when I first heard them. I heard Age Of Love, but didn't like it at first. I listened to it a few more times, and I loved it. Just a matter of time.

Greetings.

Nice idea for a list. Although this list has some nice songs, I personally think the better trance songs are made between 1990-2001. After that, trance began to sound gimmicky (like pop music). I rarely hear good new trance songs (it's only my opinion), but I'll give the ones on your list a listen. I know Ascent, and think it's a pretty good song. Also take a listen to some songs by Aurosonic, like Hawaii. Pretty good imo. Oh yeah, Estuera is pretty good too, with songs like Castamara, Tales From The South, Travels and Flow.

Keep up the list
