I grew up with pirate radio Big L I would listen to all the time. Back then it was not possible to record the great programs when radio was so exciting but luckily so many were able to do so and one can re-live those days from marvelous recordings, thanks to sites such as www.azanorak.com
My mistake it was actually only one episode of Laramie that has survived to DVD "Trapped" I used to have the complete series on Betamax video but being NTSC (here use Pal) Beta player packed up and none were saved to VHS. I am awaiting the official release DVD box sets which surely will come out in USA I would think, sooner or later. Nearly all DVD TV series are official box sets and only some of other series have been transferred to DVD, those which have not come out.
Great you've been playing the first 6 Beatles in a row, maybe Revolver to Let It Be will follow. Glad to see they all got A+ but what else could they get! It would be hard to pick a fav of all Beatles albums, it could change from day to day, don't you agree.
Surprised me to but it was in the newspaper. I would have thought Peggy Lee's "Is That All There Is" would have been in there. Wonder what a US Top 10 would be, maybe we'll find out one day.
See "My Favourite Movies About Movies" list for songs used in Film Geek. So far I haven't found any of these. Songs from the other 2 films have to be added. I have a CD of "Stereo Total" with the track "Cinemania" on it. If you don't have movie Fade To Black and would like it let me know.
Sure wish Cinemania would come out as a double disc with all kinds of extras. There were a few though but just can't get enough!! Whereas this is a documentary, Fade To Black is a storyline like Film Geek I have been trying to get the music from these films on CDR's as the soundtracks don't exsist. Fade To Black (1980) (which no one seems to like) has this wonderful closing song by Marsha Hunt - Heroes, very moving. Then that title song from Cinemania by Stereo Total is really magnificent (their other songs are all great as well). Film Geek has 11 songs in it so they could bring out a soundtrack since the artists are not easy to find and the tracks from the movie even harder.
I had been hoping that Film Geek would come out in Europe but it never did and finally I got an American DVD. Should have been Region 1 which would be no problem to play on some DVD players but the portible Panasonic I use most only plays Region 2. However it played perfectly so I guess even the newer films from USA are sometimes not coded. Together with Fade To Black and Cinemania these are little gems on film fanatics I love. Wish I new of more such films that mean so much to me.
Not at all I am thrilled you took the time to look at my lists. I thought I might only have 5 Seasons making it incomplete but I just checked and there are 6 so that is a relief. I have never watched the box sets since I have seen most of them on TV but I will at a later date after catching up with those series I have not yet seen. I had actually forgotten about the Planet of The Apes and Return To animated one since they were in the big Ape head box with the films and so many extras. So I'm not really adding series that fast. I hope to be able to complete more series when it is possible. I had also forgotten about the Monkees ones which are 2 mini record box sets that I had put seperate to the TV series. Living in Belgium it is Region 2 so these were from USA Region 1 I had planned to transfer but now players playing all regions are easily available and not expensive anymore so there is no reason to. I look at your TV list daily and you really have a marvelous collection of which you have seen so many of them. I wish I could say the same but now I will get on to finally watching Season 3 of "Desperate Housewives", and I see Season 4 is out in a box set as well. You must spend a lot of time watching TV series. Did you get "Duckman"? It was on your list of series pre-ordered. Loved this and have some of them on videos and I doubt it will come out here in Europe so that's another US one I'll need to get someday. There are so many more TV series coming out in USA and I see often complete box sets things like "Peyton Place" something I never thought would see the light of day can now be bought but the price!!!!! Anyway it was useless all those years taping them on video and so many series. Thanks again for your comments and happy viewing.
A day never to be forgotten, Listology lives on; thank you so much for making this come true. The best of luck and everyone will appreciate the efforts you do as the savior of Listology.
Season 6 of Friends I would say is one of the all round better seasons though each season had it's own good episodes I thought. As for Sopranos I find every season was strong though I have not seen Season 6. I hope to buy it when the price is right, to complete the series. I could not choose a favourite season of this from what I've seen, maybe a less favourite one if I thought about it for a while.
You are so right thanks, I have the 10 seasons bought as the very first box set TV series ever released here in Belgium. As for Twin Peaks yes 2 seasons, actually the 3rd. one was a mini Twin Peaks episode "Georgia Coffee Commercial" part one though no part 2 was ever shown. I have never seen it. From TV Tome "Agent Cooper is contacted by a Japanese man who has come to Twin Peaks looking for his missing girlfriend. In order to clear his mind and focus on the clues, Cooper enjoys a refreshing cup of Georgia Coffee. *Four commericals produced by Coka-Cola in Japan for their Georgia coffee made up a mini Twin Peaks episode."
Thanks for setting me straight. I have many more TV series DVD's box sets to be added and a large colection of old TV series on video that have not come out on DVD. Some are worth transferring to DVD as they are unlikely to ever come out, well not here maybe in USA. "Bonanza" complete seasons are coming out in Germany only both original language and dubbed in German! Marvelous box sets, a lot of dedicated work has gone into releasing them. I will add more of my DVD's on the list soon. As for the videos I could list the titles on a seperate list.
Yes all of these are from my collection. The Unsurpassed Masters series is the same stuff that's on the Journals box sets, which are tin boxes with CD's but includes a large brilliant book in each of the 2 volumes. So it is good to have both if you collect Beach Boys. The Journals would no longer be available as it is old and were at the time limited editions. The Unsurpassed Masters you might find but for older bootlegs it would be a search. Good luck.
Yes of course a materpiece but I meant short songs that I would play regualarly when I thought of Jethro Tull. If I played Thick As A Brick or A Passion Play it would be the complete CD.
According to the info I found Rob Koral recorded this song (not Jim Ed Brown as stated) and the title on the CD is "I Was Looking Back To See If She Was Looking Back To See If I Was Looking Back At Her" CD : Sleeping With Angels.

Can I join the list again this year please?
