Mozart - Sinfonia Concertante and Violin #2 - 10:20 A.M.
Mozart - Piano Concertos #23 & 24 - 2:15 P.M.
Joanie Madden - Songs of the Irish Whistle, Vol. 2 - 4:30 P.M. - Some tracks are uplifting, but most are pretty boring. Also, on track #8, "Bantry Girls Lament," she uses way too much vibrato in her singing voice. I can hardly stand it. Just making my way through it. (My mother gave it to me so I have to at least listen to it once all the way through!)
I will add more later.

My new CD, arrrived in the mail today curtesy of Amazon.co.uk :
the very best of Otis Redding.
Do you live in the U.K.? (I guess so since that's where you bought your CD.) It's interesting to see how many people are overseas on Listology. It looks like you have 40 songs to listen to today! :) Some of the track titles sound very interesting. I've never heard of Otis Redding but the person on Amazon who reviewed it seemed to enjoy it. I hope you enjoy your new CD!
I certainly am in the UK, in Milton Keynes (with concrete cows) 70 miles north of London a third of the way towards Birmingham adjacent to Northampton.
Otis Redding is a legend in the world of soul music, but I'm guessing that you don't listen to a lot of contemporary music. See more reviews on Amazon.com.
I don't listen to a lot of classical nowadays. Do you like Opera ?
My favourite is Charpentier's Medee (French baroque) - rather special.

I admit to being slightly either behind the times in my music tastes, or a few miles away from the mainstream. I do enjoy opera, though! I listened to some of the samples on the link you sent me to the French Baroque work and it is intriguing. I tried to look up more about it on Google and it appears to be an opera based on Euripides' Medea? I was always fascinated by that story! Thanks for the recommendation!
Well, that should keep you pretty happy!
I recently received a vinyl version of Mr. Redding's Otis Blue (for Christmas, actually). My, I love it. It easily one of my favorite albums; it is also probably the only soul album that could run Aretha's I Never Loved a Man disc a good race.
Enjoy!
Shalom, y'all!

I almost bought Otis Blue as it is supposed to be his best, but it seemed that most tracks were on 'the very best of ...'.
