Sarah McLachlan - "Fumbling Towards Ecstasy" - 1:30 P.M. - This is an old favorite of mine from high school, before I made the unintentional break-off from McLachlan's music. It's good to be back home. This has to be her best album. I don't care that I've not heard them all, it just doesn't seem possible that she could have ever surpassed the beauty of this album. The track "Possession" is possibly one of my favorite songs of all time. It still does for me now what it did for me then. There really isn't a track on this album that I don't highly favor. Usually there are a few downers on an album that I've come to expect, but I can't seem to find one on "Fumbling." That in itself makes this a truly unique album. It could be that I've listened to it so many times that all the songs just grew on me! I can't remember my initial reactions to the non-hits on the album, but "Possession" was what lured me in for the purchase. In fact, I remember clearly the day I bought this cassette tape, I also bought along with it Milla's "The Divine Comedy," another truly brilliant album.
