What I'm Listening to Today: 1/28/04

The Tallis Scholars - Best of the Renaissance -1:20 P.M. - My dear friend Zack sent this to me in addition to other CDs that I'm just dying to try out. I've only been listening to this CD for less than five minutes and already feel somehow pure. It's music that puts me in a "heavenly" state. Despite that I am not a relious person (other than studying Buddhism), I imagine being cloaked in this white brilliance. This is, after all, Renaissance sacred music. Fans of Hildegard Von Bingen would appreciate these works. Track 2, "Spem in Alium" sounds like something out of a movie I've heard before but I can't place it! (If anyone knows what movie it's in, please let me know. I could just be imagining this, though.) Anyway, this would make great music for a gothic vampire movie. One could be draped in innocence while listening to The Tallis Scholars perform these ancient works.
