My Icons

Wes Anderson (Writer, Director)
Quite simply he has directed 5 of my favourite films of all time. i never fail to feel emotionally involved with the characters of his stories. I love his visual style and could watch any of his movies for the rest of my life, not being able to watch any other movie and be happy.

Bill Murray (Actor)
My fave acotr. well i'm not 100% on that but i'm as sure as sure can be. I've not seen all his films but i LOVE the ones i have. he steals the show everytime. He has stayed the course, and remains popular. He has been in so many of my faves, Royal Tenenbaums, Scrooged, Groundhog Day, Kingpin, Rushmore, Lost In Translation the list goes on. He's a legend, nuff said.

Matt Groening (Writer, Animator "general TV Genius")
Sure the simpsons is not what it used to be, but hell, remember what it was? this guy created that! surely thats enough to get him on this list. Oh lets not forget a little show called futurama too

Pixar (The team at pixar)
Masters of their craft. Though i do think Cars & a bugs life were serious slip ups, its not enough to make even a dent in their talents, as every other movie has proved. They continue to make some of the most involving and beautiful films in cinema history.

Matt Stone & Trey Parker (Creators of "South Park")
South park is still going strong, the south park movie is a masterpiece of comedy. The songs make disney look small time, these guys hit it right first time with that film. Then Team America another fantastic movie. I doubt these guys could tackle any subject without making it into comedy gold. They are genius.

Jim Carrey (Actor)
It used to be with Jim Carrey, you either love him or hate him. Then he went and made Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and people went.."ah" now even if you hated jim's crazy antics in ace ventura, eternal sunshine gave pause for thought. Not only that but He hasd made Man On The Moon, the Majestic & Truman Show. I'm a huge fan of his work, both comedy and serious. I do feel he is aging slightly badly when it comes to comedy, and maybe stick to his serious roles for a bit.

Jack Black (Actor, Musician)
Love Tenacious D's first album, and i always look forward to Jack Blacks movie work. You either love him or hate him, and i don't hate him. Always makes me laugh. A Legend.

Tim Burton (Writer, Director)
2nd fave director of all time, so many great movies. He also made me a fan pf Johnny Depp but Depp filtered through the mind of Tim. By this i mean i don't search out depp films that aren't directed by burton, as i always enjoy Depps performance best when with burton. (though donnie brasco is the expection)

Matt Morgan (Comedy Writer, Original victim of "Pin Pin" :)
Russell Brand's writing partner and former radio 2 show co-host before it was cancelled. A total legend, brings russell back down to earth, his input in the show can often be a lot funnier than russells. "Pin Pin!"

Mick Foley (Wrestler, Writer)
He may not have the wrestling ability of a guerrero but he can have some of the most entertaing matches ever. He makes careers with his hardcore style of wrestling. He has also written a brilliant autobiography. My favourite wrestler of all time. Legend.

Batman
ok ok, i know, he's not real, but that doesn't mean he can't be an icon. I'm sorry but whoever says they would want to be another superhero is lying! Batman rules all. Actually saying that, i might want to be spider-man as i have a thing for girls with red hair lol but for ass kicking ability, Batman.

Mick Foley
I just watched Beyond the Mat and I agree that he's an awesome person. I watched very little of wrestling (back when it was showed on free Cartoon Network/TNT syndication on Fridays at 10pm) and I missed him.
