My cousin Bret's amazing e-mail to my sister
i had to look up alexander Pope. Read a little about him on wickipedia. Poets, poetry isn't one of my strong suits. it is nice to know that you are familiar with him though. Wickipedia said it has been considered to be part of the "mental Furniture" of the well educated person to be familiar with his works. The guy sounds interesting didnt know that those well known lines are from him. Tommie Mcdonald- greatest canadian- OK. I thought about voting and putting in some average everyday canadian from some small town that I had encountered in Canada. Looked at some of the original list on the website and it had on people who wouldn't even be considered in a similar united states endeavor.one i am thinking of is a guy who was involvled with aiding mao's communist china. The u.s. pretty much already has a "settled mythology" of it's greatest. Though not so much that it isn't debateable or contestable. Tommie or not tommie? I haven't really decided. I thought of someone else on that original list but forget who it is now. The greatest i suppose has to be about the larger actual canadian society then some "american", who is admittedly an anomoulus sort anyway. None-the-less why not some one you met that just sat out on his porch widdling away at some wood who was just a good person and had been all his life or some such person. Thanks for the anime stuff. of the three i liked the one covered in Chocolate the most. you must try and not be so forgetful. it was rather nice of that fellow to send you those animes. you are ms_Tunesmith on messenger. stoo is stewkly. you two never seem to be on it though. i checked out Stoo's stuff on listology and have replied to him. thought when you mentioned the website that you meant the hundreds of millions of links i have sent your guys way. i am at firsts, middles and lasts in my worldview. Been around awhile and pretty much know what i think-so that is basically my lasts. Have gathered knowledge along the way (schooling etc/autodidatic efforts). done some thinking and a litlle writing . So i am somewhere in the middle of those things i concern myself with in my worldview (health, technology, religion, philosopy, politics, economics, ecology, education, science, social, sex, self). I am really though only at the start/beginning of setting out/writing my principle thoughts on my main concerns and trying to live a life with some significant regard to them while i still have a life to live (i am 45). My main concerns being some matters of metaethics, normative ethics, political and sexual philosopy. Along the lines of getting somewhat sidetracked from the aforementioned endeavor (though not too sidetracked becuase it is the same sort of mental territory as the above) i want to try and make a crude map of my philosophical thought. saw some philosophy maps in a book at the library. forget it's exact title oxford something of philosophy. i indicated on them what were the "roads" I travel down more so and which ones i do less so. and where my "home" is on each of the maps and where i think most of say the general american populace's "home" is on each given map. They and I don't "live" in the same place(s) though. i am thinking about trying to render a single map of my overall/ most particular to me home on a kind of philosophy map but instead using regular physical geography(maybe some socio-thematic geography too). The philosophy maps cover (other areas could have been covered too) : Epistemology- a main branch of philosophy, basically about what can be known ; empiricism (one of the two main subsets of epistemology)-about knowledge from the senses/ experience. Rationalism (the other main subset of epistemology)- about the use of reason as a source of knowledge. Metaphysics-another main branch of philosophy-about the nature of reality. realism the main subset of metaphysics-it's contrasts principally standing in realation to it. Aesthetics sometimes considered a main branch of it's own in philosophy wasn't one of the maps, but some of the contrasts to realism are present in artistic works along with various epistemological elements. Back to the maps-Logic and philosophical logic-another main branch of philosophy-about logical thought and its nature and variations pertinant to it. There are maps on philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, theories on mind and body also. And Moral philosophy (ethics)-the part of philosophy i am principally concerned with. the other main branches of philosophy figure prominantly in ethics. the rest of the maps are ethical theories, political philosophy, political theories, and philosophy of science. if i come across some games i will try and send them your way. hope stew is doing okay at picker/packer. your guys philosophy about the work place might be somewhat similar to mine. Hear today that walmart shut down that store in eastern canada that became unionized.. think there are problems with unions but would prefer to see a union in there. i am glad stoo has such confidence in himself. for me it is nice to know ahead of time something of who you'll meet. Randy had told me stoo is a big guy-true enough. Works also with particularly attractive women (usually). keeps a person from staring, being slack jawed, and doing double takes. Also find it useful to use wideangle panoramic vision when encountering such human specimans from a distance. That way you see all of what is out in front of you to see including them and not just them. None the less some times it is hard to drag your eyes off their.... Will try to find webpages on dog behaviors, characteristics like the ones you mention in your email.
bye love bret
p.s. if you have cmt- who are the ghostly figures in the background in gretchen wilson's video "when I think about Cheating"?

"That way you see all of what is out in front of you to see including them and not just them."
Stunning.
Was that the original formatting? Felt like wading through a lake of rubber cement.
Bret is a genius, seriously, probably the most intelligent person I've met in my entire, albeit sheltered, life. And like all geniuses he is prone to a problem that could be called "thought backlog", they come so fast and furious the thoughts can tend to blend together. He always has a refreshingly unique iponion on anything, and yes that is the original formatting. I generally have to read them a couple of times to get the full context, but isn't that the great part about knowing truly original people.
:?)
Reading confused, messy, inarticulate emails several times to extract their meaning is the great part about knowing truly original people? Well, if that's how you like it...
