i was hyped to see "South Park" At #3, that was a great suprise (i had in my mind more like 25 - 35)Teenage Muntant heros should of been in top10 without a doubt. Akira also very happy that was so near the #1. there was no doubt in anyone's mind about the No.1 spot. :-)

Agreed on most of what you said -- but I've never seen Akira, so y'know.. not too bothered. Pleased FG got #5; also surprised that KOTH and Futurama both made top 50.

I think it's an excellent top 10. The Simpsons, South Park and Family Guy are the best shows television has to offer.

Shark Tale and Antz didn't even make the top 100, Pixar totally thrashed Dreamworks.

I agree with some of the list, although personally am beginning to think of The Simpsons as quite overrated now. Great to see my personal favourite cartoon Tom and Jerry so high up. I don't care too much for the Japanese cartoons or the new stuff (aside from some of the computer animated features), neither did I care for the so-called comedians trying to bring in sexual references at every moment in the programme.

I really like this list! Some of my favorites made it; The Nightmare Before Christmas(oh my god I'm obsessed with that one), The Lion King, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and a couple of others. There are a couple that I disargee with, but it's a pretty good list.

But really... I'm surprised no one brought that topic up yet but shouldn't Channel 4 have helf two separate lists, one for film-feature cartoon movies and one for serial TV cartoons ? There is no doubt in my humble mind that these are different "art forms" and including both in the same list is like comparing the bitterness of grapefruits and the sourness of lemons on the grounds that they're both citruses...

I concur. I'd like to think that if they ever revisited the list, they'd seperate it as such.

i was surprised and happy to see samurai jack

Great list, Simpsons definitely deserved #1 but bugs should of been #2, it's over 70 years old now. I must say I'm surprised The Jetsons were left out...bizarre!
