That's weird...how are these numbered, exactly? I'd be interested in the numbering convention.

I saw this and had to login, though. Nothing but love for you, man, but these are not horror movies:

Silence of the Lambs (thriller)
Freaks (eeeh...can't categorize this one)
King Kong (fantasy)
Eraserhead (it's an experimental film about being a father!)

Anywho, to supplement your list. Here's another one I found, as a fellow listaholic, on the 13 Best Horror Sequels. Maybe it will help fill in the gaps?

The list is from a series of books that started with 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die. The numbers indicate which ones i've seen. You're right some of the entries are dubious.
