Oh Yeah!!! I STRONGLY agree with you bout "Epic Movie", what rubbish. I felt embarrassed for the actors in the film. The only person I remotely liked was Kal Penn and that's just because I enjoyed "Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle".
yeah lol and you pre warned me to not see it, but a friend of mine wanted to go and i had payed for his ticket last time, so he paid for mine this time, so i was seeing it for free. even with that being said, i regreted seeing it. it actually depressed me that anyone could be involved in such crap. lol
Wow, you got to see Sunshine, dude?
yup, well i'm from UK and it got released sooner here.
it's pretty fantastic, with elements of Alien and 2001. some of action is great, sometimes it gets repetative and some elements of it are over the top, but its great fun and a joy to watch in terms of visuals
I thought Saw IV was awful, not at all involving, bringing in characters I didn't care about. It was truly terrible, the attempt at a twist at the end was poor, it failed, the traps are derivative and predictable, and Jigsaw's dead, so it's just really random, I strongly disliked it, may even say hate. And they have plans for a V and VI!!!
haha yes! i totally agree with your verdict on the "Twist", the only redeeming factor is that if you watch Saw III again, there are hints to it, such as hoffman suddenly paying attention when rigg mentions jigsaw must of had help during the aftermath of troy's (the chains) trap.
But yes, i was like.."uh who?" and i HATED that i could hear people leaving the cinema going "best ending ever" i was like "hmm well they obivously didn't see the first one."
I have to say i did enjoy it a bit more than you it seems though, granted i'm pretty easy to impress in the movie department. I liked the backstory scenes of jigsaws character. I also liked the whole thing of jigsaw trying to convert rigg into his way of thinking.
I agree with you about the bringing in characters that i had no care for. Yeah the traps were pretty bad this year (and im not a trap fan boy). Heres my thoughts on them
The Knife trap - pretty good for his first one, buit basic
Scalp trap - I actually enjoyeed this one
the one that rips the guys limbs apart -/....uh what!? over the top anyone? crap
that ice block crap - holy shit that looked lame and the payoff for that though got a few gasps was pretty lame.
The two people back to back with spikes - a nice enough trap but with one problem, she had no choice, the trap was pointless. as i understand it, they were positioned differently so if it went through her should it was in his lung, or another vital organ right?? so wait, the action of pulling through wasn't going to do anything, he was going to die anyway, if someone was to stick a knife in a vital organ of mine i wouldn't think "ah as long as it stays in here, i'll be ok"
Yeah totally, I thought the knife trap was actually the best, used the "hurt yourself to redeem yourself" feature, whereas the others I didn't much care for. yeah, the ice block thing, wtf was that about?
I was disappointed though, because I really REALLY liked the first two, and even thought the third was good, what a letdown.
Yeah the hoffman has some things that are quite cool, but I didn't even know who he was until the fourth one so it seems a bit weird.
Yeah, I mean died whatever, so what was the point, as everyone would have saved themselves. I do agree with you about one thing though, Jigsaw is a great villain, up there with my favourites, but there is of course only one great villain...
"I like your wife, I might eat her tonight", the Great Hannibal Lector (:!
