Odd list, this one. Mostly how it came to be. I'd been thinking about making this list about animals in my garden. Then, I figured that would mean I'd have to leave out several great ones and I expanded it to the entire neighbourhood. But hey, why not go for the entire town, then?
Currently, this is set on my town and the surrounding areas. I wonder when I'll do the entire country. Either way, this will prove to be easy for birds (a lot of them, but all very recognisable), the mammals (the same as the birds) and the fish (of which I've seen very few). The insects, arachnids and the like, however...
Some arthropods are only listed by scientific name. Plus, the arthropods are species I've seen in the entire country. It has begun.
Bolded animals are the ones I've managed to take pictures of. They will have a link next to their name. Some will be very clear pictures (mostly so for the common species), some will be, well...less than great.

Where do you live?
Belgium.
To be more precise, a town just north-east of Antwerp
Thanks. Its just I couldn't picture from which
country your list is derived. Hope you well on your creature spotting!!
Thanks!
I can imagine it not being all that easy to see which country I'm from when you look at the list. Especially considering there are some animals here one normally shouldn't find in Europe, like the rose-ringed parakeet.
