These are films that are not on the list of 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die. I was not allowing myself to add anything to my Netflix queue except for titles from the book, but now I've seen 994, which is as far as I can go.

It's good to know someone else is trying to accomplish the "1001 films" list. How frustrating is it when you come across one that isn't available on DVD? or VHS!!?!? For instance, I was all excited about Shanghai Express, and I find out that there's no official DVD release of it. Same with the Bitter Tea of General Yen. I guess I'll have to cave in and dust off the old VCR.

I've had to see quite a few on VHS. It hasn't been frustrating so far, but when I get down to the final few, it will be hard to stop and wait.
