Sometimes for the characters they play, and sometimes for the persona they project.

Excellent!

I'm just glad I never have to compete with Marlon circa Streetcar for a lady's affections...

Shalom, y'all!

He sure was dead sexy back in the day.

And speaking of crushes, at the time of that film, he could probably crush my big head between his biceps like a walnut.

All that, and he could act too, although people often forget that nowadays...

Shalom, y'all!

Yes, when I recently viewed, for the first time, Streetcar with the deleted scenes restored, I understood the movie in a completely different way. I was blown away by Marlon Brando's acting. Although I hate what he does, I have a better understanding of Stanley.

The man oozes charisma, which adds a confusing color when he plays a character such as Stanley (incredible how exposed this tough guy becomes) and turns him into a captivating madman such as Colonel Kurtz. He brings a complexity to his roles that any amount of looking past his buff body (at least around the time of Streetcar) or mushmouthed voice reveals, even if few go care to go beyond either element.

Of course, that just addresses his skill; it doesn't even touch upon his influence.

Shalom, y'all!

Jeremy Northam in An Ideal Husband is the one actor I may have a crush on...

Johnny Waco (who doesn't know if he should have admitted this)

Your secret is safe with me.

I knew I could confide in you, Rosie;)

Johnny Waco

Aside from the good-looking people in it, is it an otherwise good movie? Should I see it?

Yes, I thought it was a well-done adaptation, very funny in parts. It really had the spirit of Wilde's comedy.

Johnny Waco

Thanks. I'll keep it in mind.

Oops! It's already on my Netflix Queue Overflow list!

So I'm thinking: eyebrows? If so: I surely approve. If not: Dennis Quaid?

They broke the mold when they made him... and then they made Randy Quaid.

Which brings me to the tragic Baldwin Brothers devolution. The tragic fall from yummy to scummy.

What a world.

What you said.

great selection and great list.. it has to be cloned:D
i would add myself for Jude Law... i saw him long time ago in a few movies and it was absolutly charming ;)

He's a purty man.
