Great, great list. I think the Psycho shower scene as your #1 is probably indisputable. I would say that "the scene" from Nashville should be on here (though I won't add any descriptive details in case you haven't seen the film). I'd also say that the Taxi Driver finale should be much higher imo - perhaps #2 or close to the top. Also, I'd recommend 2 scenes from Von Stroheim's Greed (again, no details in case you haven't seen it). If the Wild Bunch massacres count as "murder scenes" then I'd say they surely each deserve a high position. Definitely, definitely the nightmarish finale of Hitchcock's Marnie. Finale of Zulawski's Possession, though you probably haven't seen that. Roy meets his maker in Blade Runner (particularly the final cut version). Hall of Mirrors finale of Welles' Lady from Shanghai...
How about the actual JFK assassination footage from Oliver Stone's JFK? I'm halfway kidding (does previously made footage implemented into a film count?), though if you do decide to add it, it's perhaps the only "scene" I can think of right now that might be #1 over Hitchcock's Psycho.
Though there's tons more to recommend, that's all for now :-)
