(I admit, I can understand and connect to Western films better than Eastern ones. Sorry.)

Very nice!

Fuck yes, you've outdone yourself.

Thanks!

Interesting choice on Coraline, what made you choose it?
And also, Werckmeister Harmonies gone!

Shallow, pretensious. A recital of conventional opinions upon glossy picks, with a taste in film (and art it seems) dogmatically Scaruffian. You've provided a stunning template on how to present a movie list, minus the insight of a strong personal connection to these works. But all jealousy aside, images and commentary are very good. Maybe it's your taste in film that puts me off.

Huh? I don't think my taste in film is Scaruffian at all. I disagree with his choices constantly. If anything, my choices here align with those of Ebert...

As for 'shallow' and 'pretentious', umm... I dunno. These are all movies I love.

Well, I think what I said was way out of line and rude. I guess I have this sterotype of you in my mind that I like to reinforce. Anyways, I apologize for belittling your content and obviously wouldn't want someone doing that to me (especially if I put a good amount of work into it). I will at least stop harrassing you from now on. I'm sorry for being a douche bag.

Like you've done for your music lists these small reviews are very much appreciated. And like the music lists I'm gonna ask if there's any chance of you doing pics and reviews for your 'greatest films of all time' list?

Probably not, since I'd have to rewatch hundreds of films in order to build out my list of best films ever beyond about 4 titles. But thanks for the interest.

Ah that's a shame. Would you say that the greatest films are still the ones you mention in that list? Or only the top four?

Yeah, I'm really only confident about the top four. I'd have to rewatch hundreds of films to feel comfortable naming any others.
