Here is a list of mascots for colleges that I find amusing or interesting.T

Not a college, but I've always found the Hoopeston Cornjerkers wildly amusing. (I had a friend from there.)

LOL. Thanks! I've never heard of that one.

Also not a college: The Live Oak Mighty Fighting Acorns.

Like high school needed an additional reason to suck. Go Acorns.

Also, UCSB's mascot is spelled Gaucho, and only narrowly beats out UC Irvine (Anteaters) and UC Riverside (Highlanders) for weirdness value. Especially that last one. Have you ever been to UC Riverside? Nothing about it screams Highlander! And you'd think it would encourage all the students to hack each others' heads off. There can be only one!

Thank you for correcting my error. No, I had not heard of the others. Thanks! I'll add them to the list.

What about the Wake Forest Demon Deacons? What is that supposed to mean?

that is a good one.

Hey, cool list, but it is not Coastal College, it is Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC. And also, there is a college, Upper Iowa, who are the Peacocks. Again, awesome list!:)

Thanks. It was a fun list to make.

its the university of arkansas monticello boll weevils and the southern arkansas mule riders and the arkansas tech wonderboys and the henderson state reddies

So... I go to Erskine College, and it's definitely the Flying FLEET and not the Flying Feet. As in, Fleet of Fighter Planes.

Go Fleet!

although, i must say that the idea of the flying FEET is very amusing :)
