Trance music videos I've seen.

  • I got bored, so I decided to make a rather pointless list. Cuz they exist-trance music videos are out there. And here I'll list the ones I've seen.
  • "Suburban Train"- DJ Tiesto
  • I didn't get it. First, it's a three minute radio edit, and that made the song sound dreadful. Second, the entire music video is comprised of Tiesto walking around, and his greatness and brilliance of....something makes everybody he passes grow a white bubble-like thing around them and float away, until Tiesto reaches the house of some girl who's painting the people floating. The end. Get it? Neither did I.
  • "Exhale"- System F ft. Armin van Buuren
  • This one I liked. It's the story of a day in the life of 2 DJs (Ferry and Armin.) They basically catch a plane to London, get stranded there for a few hours, hitch a ride to their gig, and everybody is happy. There's subtitles that let you know what's going on though, and they're actually quite funny. The song itself aint bad either.
  • "Burned With Desire"- Armin van Buuren
  • A guy and girl with hot bodies and sweat glistening off them dance and grind in a cage. End.
  • "Perfect Day"- The Visions Of Shiva
  • Hypnotic. The first minute is this guy in a tye-dye background just staring, then he does some martial arts, a robot does to robot, and a bunch of random shit happens. Minimize the video if you're prone to seizures or if you get annoyed by not knowing what the hell's going on. (Cuz the song is incredible.)
  • "Eternity"- Alibi
  • It is really dumb. A little drummer boy gets lost in the woods, then gets picked up by a bunch of etards and dances. The end.
  • "Don't Give Up"- Chicane
  • Woo. I LOVE this video. It totally supports the message of the tune-reject comformity. AWESOME.

A few more for you:

Richie Hawtin's We(all)Search is a pretty weird video. Of course, it's really minimal techno, not trance. Oddly enough, I saw it on MuchMusic (Canada's MTV).

Alibi - Eternity is a particularly stupid one, as is DJ Tiesto - Theme From Norejfell.

Chicane - Offshore has a good video though.

Most Bjork videos are excellent (they're not really trance either, though).

I like Gouryella - Gouryella's video, if only for its sheer stupidity.

Future Sound of London - Papua new Guinea is the worst video I've ever seen. It's just poor quality random crap that has nothing to do with the song flying around for a few minutes while the track plays. It's like a windows screensaver made by a 3-year-old, on acid, and that's not a good thing.

Ferry Corsten - Punk: the video is OK, if boring.

Darude - Sandstorm: I actually like this video, even though it really has no relation to the music at all. It's essentially a really low-budget 3-minute heist film with some pointless slow motion shots (ie: the girl jumps over the fence, BULLET TIME!!!).

Yeah, trance musicians can't make a decent video. This doesn't extend to house, oddly enough. If you like buff, topless men and 90% naked girls dancing really badly for 5 minutes. OK, it does extend to house. Around the World is the exception.
