Author Comments:

This is it folks, my final list, enjoy, comments of course very wellcome.

Seems like you're not a big fan of British comedy. Fawlty, Office, OFAH? I would definitely put some of it on the list.
Maybe even Oz or Rescue Me, but latter is probably too fresh for this kind of list.
Some parts are really cheesy (Friends, Malcolm, ELR), but I agree on South Park. It's really a great show. And Extras is also a good choice.

hmm i really like Fawlty Twoers, just not seen it recently or enough to judge. OFAH is a very good show but again, i've only seen say 10 of them, but i'm always wellcome to watching Shows. such as king of the hill which i hadn't seen any of up untill start of this year now i've seen seasons 1-4 and its #4 on my list, so i'll check out the ones you mentioned for sure

hmm i guess friends/raymond is cheesy but i also like non cheesy stuff such as Back of the Y, sifl & olly, Extras, Green wing and King of the hill

South park is brilliant, and i can't wait for season 2 of Extras to come out so i can rewatch them all haha

Must've missed this, I definitely would've commented if I'd seen it!

Anyway, great list. There are some I agree with more than others (The Simpsons, Frasier, Malcolm, Friends, Raymond - excellent.. BBBM - I refuse to dignify anything BB-related with credit, no matter how begrudging!)

But it's an excellent list, and there's lots of crossover with mine. It surprises me a little there's only one drama (Sopranos) though.. not a fan of any others?

Thx !

hmmm well in BBBM's defense, it is ONLY because of Brand. i'm a huge fan of his style, he was fantastic on the brits too. i actually don't watch the BB episodes, i just watch big mouth after. maybe if it was presented by another person who didn't do the skits and jokes brand does, it deff would not be here. actually i think i read in the paper he's quit, which is a damn shame

Well, it's less of being a fan of other dramas and more of, not seeing any others. The sopranos is an hour long show and i was introduced to it by means of DVD. so no add breaks which i think helped my enjoyment of it. so when i've tried to watch other dramas such as LOST, 24, Las Vegas & Six Feet Uner, it was on tv channels and had TONS of breaks. i think all i need to do is watch one episode on TV of a show, REALLY REALLY like it, and that will urge me to buy the DVD.

Any you can reccomend?

24, Lost and Six Feet Under are all great, if you fancy giving them another go. House is brilliant - and funny too. And for comedy-drama I'd recommend Boston Legal too.

I completely understand about the problems of ad breaks on TV - I never watch sitcoms or drama series on TV nowadays, it's so much better to watch them on DVD isn't it!

ah, ok, i'll be sure to check the sales!

BBC, baby!! All the fun of the programmes without any of the adverts!
[/end shameless plug]

hahaha they do have fine programming

Another almost-free-from-bias opinion, courtesy of Martin, BBC Employee extraordinaire! :D

Give me HBO and NBC anyday! Not a bad list, btw. I don't particularly agree with some of the choices, but it's a refreshing change of pace to my critics choice list. ;)

Interesting that you liked Extras S2 more - I liked both equally, but I've heard a lot of people preferred S1. Great show anyway!

Hey Rushmore, is this list still up-to-date?

pretty much, might add Big Bang Theory, i liked that very much , also the apprentice

Ahh, a big update. I like!

Well, I'll overlook Eastenders, everyone's allowed one guilty pleasure.. ;-)
