Cloned From:

wow... i don't think i've ever agreed with so highly with such a large part of the list and been dissapointed so much by such a small part... young guns(like what you want of course) was extremely dissapointing. it's like a teen western or an mtv western, i can't stand it. Then again it's hard for me to like movies based on events that already have such a great and plentiful representation already... pat garrett and billy the kid and the outlaw are the best imo... at least young guns II isn't on the list.

btw, you must see 310 to yuma and the badlanders... two delmer daves westerns, personally i can't wait to see broken arrow.

Actually I haven't seen Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, I love The Outlaw it will probably be up here soon, probably replacing one of the others on the lower end of the list. I love Young Guns (I recently got the DVD), it's one of my favorite modern Westerns. I just ordered the DVD for Young Guns II (still waiting on it to come in the mail.)
My love for Westerns will make me see The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2006) when it comes out. I think it might be pretty good.

normally I would say 'brad pitt? no thanks'... but aussies seem to be the only ones making half-decent westerns nowadays(yet to see one, but they make at least the only promising ones)... and dominick as far as I know is an aussie and quite good.

Good list, but it's a sin and a crime that Ford doesn't appear.

Yes, I made the list off the top of my head, I'll probably revise it and add/replace some.
