some movies I'd recommend

I also liked Delicatessen, and based on that a couple other Listology users (taryn and mildew) recommended The City of Lost Children. Have you seen it? If so, what did you think? If not, you might want to check it out (I still have yet to get to it).
I did like The City of Lost Children. It's a bit more bleak I guess, so I still like Delicatessen better, but I did like it. Make sure you track down a copy that's subtitled though, not dubbed. I had some trouble with that.
The only one of these that I've seen is The Princess Bride which is a total classic. Fargo is one I've been meaning to watch, but haven't gotten around to yet (I tend to stay away from movies that get lots of hype; they rarely live up to it.)
Fargo's hype was well-deserved.. and I believe
generally came after people actually saw the movie, unlike say a Jurassic Park or Titanic.
its good to see brazil on this list. it is one of those quiet masterpieces.
