* Assuming availability and enough money in my pocket.

These are the only TV series that I can imagine I'd pull off the shelf someday to rewatch.

Seven words: Quantum Leap and Buffy the Vampire Slayer!!!

Johnny Waco

How long has Buffy been on? I think it might have hit it's stride slightly after we ditched cable. I don't think I've ever seen an episode (nor the movie, for that matter).

I liked QL, but not quite enough to list it here. I'd certainly sit down and watch reruns if nothing else was on, but I doubt I'd ever buy it so I'd have the luxury of pulling it off my shelf.

You should at least rent some of the Buffy episodes on tape. I personally think it has improved from the first season, so keep that in mind. They're currently in the 5th season, though I think the first two seasons were both short.

Interestingly, in the US they seem to be releasing tapes/DVDs in storylines, not by season. So you can get a set chronicling the Buffy/Angel relationship. or the Buffy/Faith episodes, which skip over any standalone episodes from the time period.

*I'd* buy all the Buffy episodes on DVD, in a heartbeat. If I weren't currently unemployed and on a budget.

So far my local video store carries The Sopranos, but no other TV that I know of. I'll keep an eye out though, and definitely rent a few if I have a chance.

concerning the west wing, the other day i saw a bumpersticker that said simply "martin sheen is my president" does anyone know where i can get one? any help would be great. thanks.

I don't know where you can get the bumper sticker, but I certainly agree with the sentiment. On the bright side of the Bush presidency, if you want to end it all by drinking arsenic, he's made it alot easier.

Jim, The Sopranos is well worth the rent if you do not get HBO. Quality TV has never been this good. The small touches, the classic Movies Tony watches, to the Music they use...The Acting, writing and rythm of the show is just superb.

Since posting this list I have seen one Sopranos episode, and it was fantastic. I'm certain I'd be hooked if we had cable. I'll definitely have to at least rent these.

A little tidbit I copied from today:

"Fox has the first boxed sets of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and The Simpsons coming for later this year here in Region 1."

Reasons for joy from both Jim and Johnny Waco (as soon as Mr. Waco gets a DVD player, that is).

Shalom, y'all!

<homer> Mmmmm... Box set.... </homer>

Jim, Netflix has the Sopranos on DVD for rental!

Excellent! I'm starting to feel like I'm never going to join though (go here and scroll down to the highlighted post to see what I'm talking about). But someday, when I have a queue, it will go in my queue.

Fox sets "Simpsons'' for DVD boxed set

Hey, Jim! I would have posted this to the front page but I can't remember the news link. If you feel it's big enough news feel free to do so.

Excellent! I'm looking forward to seeing which episodes were in Season 1. I remember thinking that the show didn't really hit it's stride until it had a season or two under its belt.

What think you of Frazier? We love it at our house and will probably get the DVDs.

Used to enjoy Frasier quite a bit! Just barely misses the cut for "would like to own it", but I'd certainly watch it if it fell into our laps.

didn't know you were a fan of The Sopranos Jim, great show! I've only seen seasons 1 & 5 all the way through but i am watching Season 2 right now, about 6 episodes through it.

guessing yuo've seen a few, which is your fave season / episode?

I've only seen seasons 1 and 2, actually. I don't have a favorite show, but my favorite moment is definitely when Tony gives his neighbor a box of sand.

ha! that is a great moment
