  • Costs money. Yeah i got loans, but given the heavy use of tech and computers it isn't cheap. for instance i've had to fork out £700 for a HD cam (which isn't a bad price) but add to that an external harddrive and a Macbook. I haven't got the macbook yet. having been a pc user for so long, i'm not looking forward to it and i am trying to delay the switch for as long as possible. I will probably do my first film on adobe premier for pc, then in second year think about a mac and final cut
  • Early mornings (but also a plus due to mcmuffins)
  • 8 Assignments before Jan. 5th. Not only that but its 4 written essays and 4 filming works. So that brings up 2 totally different sets of problems to plan for and make room for. Fimling includes, having a screenplay to film from, finding locations, casting, lighting and lots more. That has made me want to scale down my movie as much as i can too the point where it may end up being just a 5 min film of a guy sitting on a chair :)

Interesting. Sounds like a lot of work, and I hate change when it comes to computers, so I don't relish your having to switch to a Macbook. (Not that they're bad or anything, but I'm too used to Windows PCs at this stage..)

If your films work out well, you'll have to upload them so we can all see them! :-D

oh i'm dreading the switch. i've used final cut a bit (the main movie editing programme used at uni on Mac) and it was ok, but it takes getting used too, i don't find the mac system user friendly.

Ha! well they will be trainwrecks of films but yes i'll post :)
