Did you see "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" (Rolling Stone Magazine)? Joni Mitchell (72) and Joan Jett (87) are on the list... What about Alvin Lee (Ten Years After), Randy Bachman (BTO), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top)…???? I’m so disappointed with RS’s list.

If you are expecting informed music coverage from Rolling Stone; you will be sorely disappointed everytime. That rag ceased to be musically relevant at least 25 years ago. That said, Jimmy Page has said Joni Mitchell was influential to his guitar playing, especially acoustically. She probably belongs there, but Joan Jett? You got me there. The omissions of Alvin Lee & Billy Gibbons are especially heinous and the ranking they give some influential guitarists is suprising. But, again, consider the source.
