Author Comments:

This keeps it shorter. Asterisks denote the ones i really want to see.

I hope Satantango makes it to DVD some time!

The company (Artificial Eye?) that released Tarr's Werckmeister Harmonies (excellent) and Damnation (too depressing) did say they might release more by him- presumably Satantango would be next, as it's his most admired?- if sales were good enough of the first 2. The audience figures for Damnation at cinemas in London were abysmal apparently so they're quite wary.

Wow, how'd you see so many movies while avoiding A Christmas Story and Say Anything?

Well i know Christmas Story is very popular (in the imdb top 250 i think) and i'd like to see it- it's just that since i've been on the look out it's not been shown in the UK. I think it's more a part of the Xmas season in America?

Ah, you're in the UK! I failed to notice that. Yeah, I have no idea as to its international appeal.

ubuweb are currently hosting Flaming Creatures (1963)

Within Our Gates (1920) is on the DVD "Origins of Film: African American Cinema 1"

some should be simple to find on DVD: Say Anything (1989) Fantastic Planet (1973)

about a dozen of the others are available through less reliable sources.
