I think I have at least two albums or tapes from each of the artists listed, with the exception of Helix and Hanoi Rocks (But I do have the Michael Monroe solo album!)
A few additions to the list:
Dokken (in their Under Lock and Key days),
King Kobra,
Lita Ford,
Enuff Z'nuff,
LA Guns,
Britney Fox,
Y&T,
Warrant
And there was an all-girl band with the biggest hair ever seen, and their name is escaping me . . . I can picture the video, but can't think of their name . . . HELP!

When I think of "Glam Rock" I think of T-Rex, Bowie's Ziggy Stardust and that whole era. A lot of the bands you mentioned are "hair bands" or as my significant other labels them, "Butt Rock Bands." Call them what you will, but I don't agree with calling them Glam Rock. I honestly don't feel they deserve the correlation.
Frankly, I agree with you . . . but I understood what the author was going for. These bands, whether they are "hair bands", "butt bands", or whatever, were the direct descendants of T-Rex, et al. They took the concept, applied simplistic, catchy riffs along with all the makeup, and ran with it.
By the way, the band I could remember the name of at the time was Vixen.
