An Introduction to trance and house music, for the non-electronic listener
Submitted by darktremor on Wed, 09/08/2004 - 06:31
- This was a highly requested list from me. I finally decided to make it. The songs and mixes here are a balance of quality, ease of download, and accessibility. This stuff is relatively easy to get a hold of.
- Of yeah...one more thing. Trance often has a "mixing head" and a "mixing tail," which is boring to listen to. It's used so the songs can transition from one to another, since the music is mainly made for clubs. You would hear the same head and tail on any pop or rap record (aka pop or rap for club play - literally a record - not the same version they record for radioplay or for the albums.)
- Tools of the trade:
- 1.Kazaa Lite. Duh.
- 2.Soulseek . Download here. Trance, house, and even techno fans love this program - they all flocked to it. Which is why there's very little on Kazaa.
- Things not to do. EVER.
- 1.DO NOT Go on Kazaa, type "trance" or "house" or any other electronic genre name into the search bar, and download every song that appears. You will get some of the worst crap you have ever listened, and hate electronic music forever, without even really hearing anything even worth being created. ESPECIALLY don't type in "techno."
- 2.DO NOT download anything by DJ Mystik, DJ Mangoo, or Mars and Mystre. They are NOT real artists, at least not really. More of the above crap will be found under these names, made by random kids, who want their stuff spread around the net by idiot newbie ravers who don't know better. Or sometimes, if you're REALLY lucky, you might find an okay trance song by a different artist under that name. That's rare though.
- 3.DO NOT Download DJ Sammy - Heaven, or any other cheesy and annoying trance remix. But especially not DJ Sammy - Heaven. For those who've had to suffer through it's endlessly overplaying on the radio, my heart goes out to you. Other dance remixes are just as bad, and the entire "pop remixes" genre is a slap in the face to trance, and the most common reason for people who like rock, rap, etc. to hate the genre. If that's all I heard, I'd hate it.
- 4.NEVER Call trance "techno," or call techno "trance." If you do this, people on both sides will hate you. Trance is not techno. Techno is a very minimal genre, lacking melody, and trance is an epic (extreme opposite of minimal) genre made up of mostly melody (as well as some other things), with a slight techno beat underneath to carry the sound to the dancefloor. Techno fans consider trance a slap in the face to techno - flighty poppy way-over-the-top melodic crap that won't understand that electronic music should be repetitive, boring and lacking in musical quality. Trance fans think techno needs to lighten up and not be so pretentious, (as well as repetitive, boring, and lacking in musical quality). Still, there is some good techno out there, and plenty of bad trance. Besides that, the two have little in common, and there is close to zero crossover between the artists of each genre. (I outline all of the differences in my 2 guides to trance). What you call house doesn't matter - people who listen to it think trance and techno should stop fighting and HAVE FUN! That's what house is all about, and part of why it's a great genre.
- Trance:
- (BTW the [M] symbol specifies "mix")
- 1.[M] Download DJ Tiesto - In Search of Sunrise off of Kazaa. Considered one of the most brilliant and wonderful trance mixes ever created. Download and listen to In Search of Sunrise 1 before 2 and 3 though - number one is the best, and although all three are very good, number 1 represents trance the best (try all three if you can, but number three isn't all trance the whole time - it starts with some ambient pop and has some more repetitive parts. Number 2 is the seconds best - I recommend downloading that also). Don't advance it at any point. Just listen the whole way through. It doesn't need advancement. This is a soft, melodic trance mix. I haven't met someone who didn't at least somewhat like this yet (and many people absolutely loved it, and became trance listeners overnight). Kazaa has ISOS. This will take a while to download, but it's worth every second.
- 2.[M] Download Paul Oakenfold - Tranceport.
- 3.Get Sasha - Xpander. It can be downloaded off Kazaa, but it's not as easy as any of the previous tracks (I had no trouble, but there are fewer sources. I got lucky.). It's really worth it though!!! One of my personal favorite songs of all time (at least the version I have is...), and the fact that Kazaa has it at all is amazing. Very beautiful song.
- 4.Download Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar. Try to get the 1998 version - it's the best one. This is a pretty fast song, so make sure you have the right version. Cafe Del Marco, the original 1994, and any of the other mixes are nowhere near as good as the 1998 mix. THE Ibiza song (the "party island" - basically an island resort entirely covered with trance and house clubs, with constant raves on it's beautiful beaches. A favorite tourist destination of Europe, where trance and house are 2 of it's best loved genres.), and a true classic of modern trance.
- 5.Download Paul Van Dyk - For An Angel. Great song. Easy to get off Kazaa. If you get the uber-long version, then advance into it about a minute and a quarter (otherwise you'll have to sit through the entire mixing head).
- 6.Download Tiesto - Suburban Train. FANTASTIC song. Try to get the longer version - this song has no real mixing head - just a pure, amazing buildup. It will be a little over 9 megabytes.
- 7.Try to download Nalin & Kane - Beachball. This is one of the best loved trance songs of all time, but few people still share it, it being a 1996 track (although it finally became a radiohit in 1998 - a huge one at that! In Europe anyway...). If you can get it, it's entirely worth it - probably one of the most elegant and pretty trance songs ever created. Just type "nalin beachball" into Kazaa. You'll get a bunch of results. I don't know what to recommend downloading, since I can't find the version I have ANYWHERE - which is also the best version, sadly. However, the closest to it, is the "full mix" - it will be about 7 megs. (it's not quite as nice as my version though...) Advance it about one minute, and listen. I'll try to post mine on the net somewhere for download. (I recommend not getting the Paul Oakenfold version)
- 8.Download James Holden - Nothing. You REALLY want the 13 meg one, called "mix 2" on Kazaa (although it's really the 93 Returning mix - a mix done by Holden himself), since the original doesn't have the coolest part of the song.
- 9.Get Chicane - Offshore. It may show up under Robert Miles, but it's not. This is the Chicane version. Download the ambient mix instead though - not the one that shows "Robert Miles." However, once again, still not as good as mine, by any means. I'll try to post this one too... The version you really want will be around 6.5 megs. Soulseek is better for getting this one.
- 10.Try to download "Push - Strange World." You will find this as being by Tiesto, or Ferry Corsten, and probably not Push. These 2 are DJs who played it, and the song therefore got put to their name by CD rippers. Just type in Strange world on Kazaa, after putting a search filter on "Iron maiden," a rock band that also had a song called "strange world". This is hard to get off kazaa, but soulseek will definitely have it. Oh yeah - one more thing - 2000 remake is the name of the original mix, for some reason. The song was made in 2001, so that makes no sense, but any strange world you find on kazaa will be the "2000 remake" - the more popular version.
- 11.Download some poptrance. AKA radio trance. I only recommend this, because it's easy to get off Kazaa, and some of it is pretty good (although not INCREDIBLE, or anywhere close to as good as many other tracks). The good ones are (You'll recognize some of these): Darude - Sandstorm; Ian Van Dahl - Castles in the Sky; Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone; Telepopmusik - Just Breathe, Dirty Vegas - Days Go By; Benny Bennasi - Satisfaction; Kerkraft 500 - Zombie Nation; ATB - 9 PM (Till I Come); Delerium ft Sarah Machlachlan - Silence (Tiesto mix). (BTW songs that are already trance are often remixed by other trance artists, for another side to the record. This is not the same as the terrible "pop remixes" I warned against earlier - many of these such remixes are better than the original, and are put on the A side of a trance record.)
- 12.If you want to try out psytrance, try downloading Aurora Borealis, by Astral Projection. Or, if you can't find that (and you may not...), try anything by Astral Projection. Kazaa should have at least something. However, there's not that many sources. Soulseek can be searched for some of both artists.
- 13.For more psytrance, try Infected Mushroom. Kazaa has this also.
- 14.[M] Download the Magik series by Tiesto. However, only get 5,6,7, and 3. The others are not as good (although still okay.).
- 15.[M] Download Tiesto - Nyana, but only CD2 - CD1 is terrible, and barely trance (techno for some of it, in fact.).
- 16.For some REALLY easy downloading, without the guarantee of quality, listen to DI.fm. Get a program for winamp called streamripper, turn on the station, then turn on streamripper. Everything you hear on DI will be transferred to your machine, and in seperate files too! However, not every song played there is good. I suggest recording off the trance channel, or the progressive channel (progressive is a very different style of trance though!!! I personally like it a lot...but it's really not for everyone, even more so than trance itself.) Maybe psy, if that's what you like.
- House:
- Coming soon!
- This is under construction!
- Update: I updated the Soulseek link. It now actually links you to Soulseek (gasp!).

Thanks, darktremor!
No problem. Let me know what you think when you download some of them.
Some tracks I found and liked:
DJ tiesto - the reachers of civilisation
DJ Tiesto - anomaly
DJ Tiesto - chicane
DJ Tiesto - time gate
DJ Tiesto - mercury and solace
DJ Tiesto - i trance you
DJ Tiesto - going up
DJ Tiesto - sun is shining
DJ Tiesto - walhalla (fantastic melody, highly accessible)
DJ Tiesto - far from over
DJ Tiesto - i believe
DJ Tiesto - remember
DJ Tiesto - sparkles
Sasha - Xpander
Chicane - Offshore
DJ Tiesto - Strange World
DJ Tiesto - Suburban Train
Which really surprised me because I have tried a LOT of trance (and perhaps techno, I don't know!) before and not liked it - it didn't sound this good, though it sounded relatively the SAME (as in, same style).
Actually, most of the songs in the first bunch were mistitled by the people who copied them to kazaa.
The real track titles are:
York - The Reachers of Civilization
Libra Presents Taylor - Anomaly (Calling Your Name) (Ferry Corsten Remix)
Billie Ray Martin vs. Chicane - Honey
20:20 Vision - Time Gate
BT - Mercury and Solace
Gypsy - I Trance You
Yahel & Miss T - Going Up
Technique - Sun is Shining (Mash Up Matt mix)
Gouryella - Walhalla (a Tiesto alias though - with ferry corsten)
Kamaya Painters - Far From Over (also a Tiesto Alias - with Rank 1 this time)
Lange Feat. The Morrighan - I Believe (DJ Tandu Remix)
The Morrighan - Remember (To The Millennium) (Lange mix)
Push - Strange World
The rest are labelled correctly.
I take it you got a hold of In Search of Sunrise! All of the tracks up to (not including) Xpander are from the mix - actually, that IS the entire mix.
The reason it's more likable is simple - underground trance is a much, much better genre than the mainstream stuff. In fact, the "underground" sounding stuff had even a short period as Europe's most popular (or maybe second depending on who's answering - it fought pretty hard with pop for the airwaves!) genre of music between 1998 and 2000. For some strange reason, the weaker tracks were the only ones imported to North America.
I'm glad you like it :)
I got all the tracks off Soulseek.
I'd also love to hear your thoughts on the excellent Radium88 (I won't specify your genre 'cuz I'll get it wrong). If you don't have time, that's fine, but I wouldn't recommend them to you if I didn't think there was a good chance you'd enjoy their music (and, it's all free WEB downloads, anyway).
It's excellent stuff!
The genre is Ambient, without doubt (and I really like ambient)
That gives me an idea...maybe a list on the best ambient music...
Thanks for the tunes!
You know I'd love a list like that :-)
Thanks man.
I've always enjoyed electronic music, and have really gotten into trance within the last year or so.
Needless to say, I'm not expert at where to look to find good trance music. I'll definitely go download the music you suggested.
Thanks again.
darktremor, I wonder if you could do me a favor. There's an electronic music 'relic' in my MP3 collection. It's by an independent artist named Fredrick Sand. Several years ago he used to have a website featuring midis and MP3s of his work. Alas, I lost all but two of his tracks, his site is offline, and I can't find him ANYWHERE online. And, my favorite of the two surviving tracks is missing the last minute or so.
Aaaaaaanyway, I was hoping you'd be willing to have a listen and tell me if you can identify a style and perhaps some artists that are similar, because I really like the track but I don't even know which genre it is (even after all your helpful articles on the subject - sorry!!!). If you're willing, let me know and I'll upload it to some webspace.
Also, I'm still willing to try your suggestion of hosting a few tracks of electronic music you'd really like to have people hear. But, I need that small list of a few tracks people should hear, obviously.
Let me know!
Sure sure, no prob. Where can I find those songs?
(Will they be on your "songs U must hear" list?).
Sry about the not hosting the tracks yet, I can't find a host who doesn't kick me off within the day...any suggestions to a site that might let me keep my tracks up?
Also, the best ambient list will take me a while to get up, as it's not my area of expertise.
Free web hosting for large files like mp3s is indeed hard to come by.
The song I'd like you to hear is here.
Dream trance.
Not really my style, but if you're into dream trance, it's pretty good.
Sorry - I don't know anything about it (like I said - dream trance isn't my style (it's a pretty small category anyway) ).
Maybe ask around some forums, like on TrancEaddict, or DI.
thanks!
As a hater of techno, you might enjoy this article. Or you might not.
Lmao.
That's awesome. I gotta admit it - that is one hilarious article.
Anyone who gets offended by it is just being a foolish elitist, and those people ruin everyone's fun : ( < (that emoticon ran into one this morning, that's why he's unhappy)
I'll admit it's inaccurate, but it was so damn funny, that who cares?
(I'm glad he centred the argument just on techno, and not extending to the talent-requiring genres like trance, house, breaks, ambient, and jungle).
Although one glaring mistake - Moby isn't techno at all. That's ambient breaks, and trance.
BTW I don't actually hate techno as much as I imply, Adja. There is a time and a place for it (in the garbage BWAHAHAHAHAHA - just kidding). Techno tends to be very entrancing, as you can get lost in it's repetition, and sort of "zone out." I'm not saying it takes any talent to make most of it, (and I have made some techno myself, so I'm not just talking out of my ass here. I've attempted the other genres, and failed very miserably, with the exception of jungle, in which I failed rather happily. [although I did produce an awesome (and by awesome I mean entirely shitty) ambient tune out of my experiments...]), but creating a true classic takes quite a bit of skill (still, most of those incorporate elements of the other genres, or were from periods when techno was a catchy little word for electronica, and those tracks would be picked up by trance or house DJs if released nowadays).
Thanks for the link - I really enjoyed the article!
Just a notice to everyone - I updated the Soulseek link (for those who didn't notice on the file).
It now actually links you to the REAL soulseek, not just website taking the name, and posing as the original.
DJ Mystik is awseome if you can find the real stuff. Here a link to a complete DJ Mystik discography with all 30+ albums he released. If it's on the list downloading it should be okay but it's good to complare the time length to make sure it's correctly labled.
http://home.sailormoon.com/venus_luv_me/mystikdiscography.txt
NONONONONONONO!!!!!!!!! BAD!
Well...actually, you probably didn't know, so I shouldn't be so harsh.
But...DJ Mystik is exactly what you want to avoid when starting out with electronic music. He has never, even once produced a single track in his whole DJ career. However, he is greatly famous because of a creative, clever, and absolutely horrific marketing trick. He, like every other DJ in existence, has released a large number of mix albums. However, unlike other DJs, who label the songs by the actual artist, then the track name, DJ Mystik labeled them all:
DJ Mystik - name of song
So now, whenever a Mystik mix CD is ripped to MP3, he gets credit for creating the song, when in fact all he did was mix it.
Here, I'll go through and relabel a bunch of the tracks with their real artist (at random, but you'll get the idea):
DJ Mystik - This Way Is Right (6:38) (HK Project - This Way Is Right)
DJ Mystik - Indian Summer (5:19) System F - Indian Summer
DJ Mystik - Ayla (Ayla - Ayla)
DJ Mystik - Funk Soul Brotha (Fatboy Slim - Funk Soul Brotha) [as if he thought he'd get away with this one!?!?!?]
DJ Mystik - Miro Paradise (Miro - Paradise)
DJ Mystik - Moments In Love (Art of Noise - Moments in Love)
DJ Mystik - Butterfly (Smile.Dk - Butterfly)
DJ Mystik - Exploration Of Space (Cosmic Gate - Exploration of Space)
DJ Mystik - Into The Blue (System F - Out of the Blue)
DJ Mystik - Everytime You Need Me (Fragma - Everytime you Need Me)
DJ Mystik - Ride A Meteorite (Antares - Ride on a Meteorite)
DJ Mystik - Blue (Eiffel 65 - Blue) [Apparently DJ Mystik created the most overplayed song of all time and yet...isn't famous? I wonder why that could be...]
DJ Mystik - Do You Believe In Love? (Ultra-Sonic - Do You Believe In Love?)
DJ Mystik - With My Own Eyes (Sash! - With My Own Eyes)
DJ Mystik - I See Stars (Robin Fox - I See Stars)
(That should give you the idea) For further proof that he has never released even a single track, he doesn't appear on discogs:
http://www.discogs.com/search?type=releases&q=mystik
I have yet to discover an electronic artist that isn't listed on Discogs, and I listen to virtually every kind of electronic music. That should tell you something.
Besides, why would you want this music? Most of the tracks he plays are close to unlistenable anyway (besides the occasional gem he slips in here and there - which are all cliche choices as is).
I knew that none of the songs were "by" him, I think of DJ Mystik as a "mix dj" not an original artist. When I want to know who did the song originally I look up the lyrics. But he got me into a lot of great artists who he mixes like Blumchen, E-type, E-rotic, Sandra and Rollergirl.
And as far as his tracks being unlistenable I would completely disagree, I love it all and haven't heard a single track he has mixed that I didn't like.
It's really all a matter of opinion. You shouldn't bash his stuff to such a degree as there are quite a few people out there who love his mixes. He got me into this type of music in the first place.
Well, in that case, I'm not saying he's a bad DJ, I'm saying he's one I really don't like.
I just find he plays the cheesiest songs of every genre, with a few exceptions.
I do love the cheese...!
I think Fatboy Slim - Funk Soul Brotha is actaully named as Fatboy Slim - The Rockfeller Sank. I may be wrong though... but thats what I've got the track labelled as on the CD ( You've come a long way baby ). Btw darktremor, I think you should check out Fatboy Slim's Right here, Right now to be put up on the Top 250 Trance songs list :) It's superb :)
Darktremor, have you checked out In Search Of Sunrise, Vol. 4? I'd love to hear your thoughts on that. Also on the Cafe Del Mar series.
It was pretty good, but not quite as strong as the earlier releases in the series. It had a few tracks on it that I found completely killed that flow and lacked the "Search of Sunrise" feeling, despite being very good otherwise. For example, "LSG - Netherworld" - while a classic and brilliant track, it just isn't suited to an In Search of Sunrise mix. It would be perfect for a "Magik" album, but not In Search of Sunrise - it's a cold, dark, and brooding song thrown into an what is normally an atmosphere of warmth and...well...sun. Also, it contained too much dutch supersaw breakdown trance, something he minimized on earlier installments. Now, there are a few moments of real genius (such as Dominic Plaza - Sounds Rushing, and the new Solar Stone track), and even a little of the old ISOS magic, but it's just not the same, and the mixing is incredibly weak in parts...I'd give it three out of five stars.
The Cafe Del Mar series is really vast...which section do you mean? I haven't listened to very much of it, only the chill house mixes, which I found evoked too many images of hot and heavy erotic nights for a (now) single guy's liking. It sounded to me like the soundtrack to lovemaking, which, for the (now) single, is simply an anthem to better times lost. I don't know about the trance releases, which ones would you recommend?
What a disappointment it is ... I didn't like vol. 3 either that much... was hoping Tiesto might rework some of his old magic with this release... sad to know he couldn't.
I meant the Cafe Del Mar Series by Jose Padilla (till vol. 6). Vol. Siete was a huge letdown as Padilla moves away from the series, and Brno takes over. It's basically a mic of chilled out trance/ambient/house/anthem kindof music (which I hope doesn't increase your now-single heart's dislike towards it).
Here's a review - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-reviews/B0000074XA/ref=cm_rev_...
P.S. - Sorry to know you're single now...
Not a complete disaster though...I mean, it did have it's standouts, like the absolutely incredible Dominic Plaza Sounds Rushing (David West mix)...
I'll have to check that series out...I like that kind of music quite a bit (the chill house compilations are a frustrating special case)...that is...when it downloads...
tell me some really good trance record which i can listen at home. i have heard lot of good trance in clubs, but when i listen it at home it sounds boring. i want something more. some really intresting. progresssive house sounds intresting. i want something to listen also when im not at the party mood
James Holden - Balance 005
Sasha & Digweed - Northern Exposure
tell me some really good trancr record that i can listen at home. i want some really intresting and hard. i want totally instrumental and dark, not the party feeling“. im bored to that
see above.
see also:
Tiesto - Forbidden Paradise 3
i downloaded in search of the sunrise part 2 it lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes. do i have the right version. i hope i have cause i listened it
Yes, you do have In Search of Sunrise 2.
Did you like it?
i have never listened to trance, but i have to admit that its fantastic. is it just one track or?
No, it's 20 tracks mixes together. It's a DJ set, that's how they work.
i downloaded sasha and digweed northern exposure vol 1, pretty good in my opinion. i dont like so much from 2 and 3. what do you think about them
One of my favorite album (volume one, that is). Parts two and three take time to get used to, but in reality, they just aren't as good as the first.
Hi, I am new into trance, and I feel I like it alot, so it was very helpful to me. Thank you a lot !
Is far I found my 3 very favourite tracks, afcourse there are much more, but those are superb to me :
Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar
Age Of Love - The Age Of Love
three drives - greece 2000
Also I wont to ask are songs like "Drax LTD -Amphetamine" or "Yakooza - Lovin'U" considered as trance too ?
Yes. Well, it depends who you ask, but I would personally say yes.
Have you heard Tiesto's Trance Paradice 1 and 2 (Could be a different name since I get my stuff of limewire) I haven't seen them on any of your lists of good stuff so I think they may be miss named. Great songs though!
Also, for those of us just getting into the Trance genre could you list and explain all the sub-genres?

Did you just take this from Ish? I saw you posted on the Board over there a few times, but that Buttrock is technically metal goa. And by Scouse trance did you mean stuff like scooter?
Notice to everyone:
I won't really be here for a while. Until about early May (2006), I'm pretty much entirely tied down to the rest of my life: I'm going to have almost no time at all to respond or update here. I may make an occasional post, but don't expect anything regular (and don't take offense if I don't answer you for a very very long time).
Sorry to anyone who has posted and I can't respond to: I'm juggling university (a SCIENCE degree, in others words the nightmare of university existence - this is a complete time filler as it is), a (very serious - not in nature, in depth of relationship) girlfriend, two entirely seperate groups of friends, several plays, several clubs, and possibly soon a job. There really isn't time left to handle answering comments...
Goodbye for now everyone! (I'll be back again, eventually). It's been fun.
Excellant list gave me a lot of clarity
Thank you, glad it helped.
For soulseek im findin it really hard to use. The only song i have managed to find and download off of it is Parasight which is amazing but i've had to get the other songs on your trance list off of Limewire such as Papua New Guinea and Heliopolis. I was wondering exactly how you get the files. Browsing absolutely everyone individually in tranEaddict room would take ages and doing searches in the room, in general and individual users barely ever gets results. From what i can make out putting a * in front of the search means it will not search the exact term but this still does not work. Parasight was found very randomly on my wishlist but i have had some of the songs on there for a month now and nothing has been found. Is it because i am copying and pasting the names from listology into soulseek? It does not appear to be the case. Anyway I will end this rant now and have probably exhausted every possible bit of help you could give me but if you can it would be much apreciated :-) p.s. I even tried looking for Strange World by Push today and could not even find that!!! I already have that but was just testing a relatively common file to see if it would find it... alas
Keep working with soulseek. It takes time.
Although, some people can't make it run at all do to proxy errors.
Sometimes soulseek gets really unresponsive for weeks at a time, then comes back and gives you exactly what you want again. Keep using it, and eventually you should get what you want.
Strange, Soulseek has always worked for me, and Limewire has never worked for me.
Same here, actually. Limewire gives me nothing.
this takes me back to high school....
Because you listened to lots of trance then?
no, because i broke the first three rules of what not to do...
I wouldn't bother much with this list anymore though: it's hopelessly dated.
I could update it, but the entire thing is irrelevant. IE: trance is dead, house is hopelessly splintered into subgenres, and kind of always was (and was never covered to begin with).
So, I'll leave this on the backburner, and massively revamp it in the future... For now, there are many clones of this list on listology that DID stay up to day, just look at one of those if you want to get into trance. Or just get soulseek and download the first 50 songs on my top (whatever number - 400 when I posted this) trance list.
I think this list is cool because you suggested Paul Oakenfold-Tranceport on the second place... and that is the CD that introduced me to trance a few years ago(i mean it was really the first time I heard real trance in my life(not radio crap and stuff)... one hwo wants to make an ideea about the best trance should listen to that album.
Another reason for this list being cool is the link someone put on the comments, with that article about tehno... wich was ridiculously funny :)
Anyway after i listened to tranceport for about a week non stop :) I had the ideea to search the tracklist on google... and after thet i search "the best trance songs" and guess what result appeared first? :D
Of course your 400 well known list :)... things never been the same since then :) ... i mean i stopped listen to crap :D and finnally found my favorite music genre :) that's my happy story :D
what i'm saying is you should keep the list ;)
