Since you like Fawlty Towers (I actually bought the tapes!) what do you think of ARE YOU BEING SERVED?? More delightful British humour.

Yes, AYBS? was pretty good. A bit down-market maybe, a bit 'CarryOnish' maybe, but none the worse for that. Unfortunately I missed about a third of the episodes. What did you think of the sequel, GRACE AND FAVOUR?

bertie, do they get Will and Grace in AU?

We get it in the sense that it's on TV - I assume that's the sense you meant - but I've never seen it. Recommended?

To me Will and Grace is one of the funniest shows on TV in the U.S., yes. It's one of the only shows I make sure to watch every week.

That's sufficient hype for me; I'll give it a look and get back to you in a week or two.

Damn! I'm a tad late getting back to you. And guess what....I still haven't seen Will and Grace.
Oh well, my loss I suppose. Thanks for trying.

Well according to me it was MASH. I love it and all the characters. It was a great script.

Blackadder is my favourite.

Did you catch this ?

Link doesn't work for me. Something about an "invalid content ID".

What about:

Home Improvement?
The Benny Hill Show?

Both very funny; I've gotten lots of yuks from both of them; but not as many as from those I've listed.

Wow! I can't believe you included The Young Ones and left out Bottom, which is much funnier. (I have complete sets of both on DVD.)

I never got into Bottom - so to speak. The only episode I can recall had Rick Myall stranded atop a ferris-wheel.

Too bad! That's probably the lamest episode in the series. You should check out some of the others; my favorites are "Culture" where Rik and Ade are completely "skint" and decide to spend the evening indoors playing chess; and "Holiday", where they prepare to go on, well... holiday. There are other great episodes too.

Don't get me wrong; I do enjoy "The Young Ones", but not nearly as much as "Bottom".
