A perfect rating for Murderball! I liked it, but not close to that much. It sure was interesting to watch Rubin and Shapiro do a decent job mixing documentary and melodrama together, though. I don't think the film would have been as effective in any other form. Still, there's a part of me that wanted to be manipulated a little bit less...

At some point, I realized my quibbles with the flick were minimal (manipulative, heavy on the aggro-rock, too hard on the tearjerking), but the subjects of the film won me over. It was a transforming experience for me, and I think it would have the same effect on others. So, yeah, if only to inspire people to watch it, why not a perfect rating?

I tend to hold back on the perfect 5.0 rating, but I felt this one I can be satisfied with.
