so heres the question..hot fuzz or shaun!??
i'm kind of split. Hot fuzz's jokes sometimes seemed bit more simple ("talking to me or the monkry / yarp n' narp / Murrddderrr") but apart from that, i did really enjoy it. i loved the idea he was a serious cop in a small town, they could of done easy dumb cop thing.cameos were great, dolton was fantastic as the supermarket owner. and the andys were good.
Me too, I was expecting it to be much the same as Shaun and therefore not quite as good but the jokes are different. I agree about dolton, I found it especially funny the way he outright incriminated himself in front of them such as "I just want to bash your head in" while smiling as if having a normal conversation. Hmm I think I will have to watch Hot Fuzz at least a couple more times before i can definatively say which is better, it is very close.
LOL at mean girls.
Although the end sone was Halcyon so at least a 7 surely?!! :)
for the song itself a 9.0 or 9.5 lol. but no, this only got a 5.5 because it had a few (in a very minimal sense) original ideas to it. The wannabee follow ups would be getting lower than 2.5s lol.
eurgh. red dragon - 7.5
you = having a joke.
It was called "Captivity" not captivated lmao, I agree with all those ratings, though Slevin for me is an 8.5
In that case will Lucky Number Slevin be making a lower spot on your albums list as you say that you agree with the rest of my ratings therefore you must rank V for Vendetta as an 8.5.
Human traffic - 7.0? From what you've told me of it, I was expecting a much higher rating! It has Age of Love on the soundtrack for god's sake, how could it not be the perfect 10?
If I was on some hallucinogenic substances this would probably be a 9. Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas I'm sure would be better on drugs too.
Im confused RE: your votes for both Butterfly Effect 2 and especially your vote for Mr. Brooks!!! I havent seen BE2, and in fact never even cared to look into it much the same way I never gave Dumb and Dumberer or Cruel Intentions 2 a second thought, but is it that good? 7 is a damn good rating for what I would think it would get. Now youve got my curiosity piqued because I too gave the original an 8 (iirc).
Now, Mr. Brooks...what wasnt to like about Mr. Brooks? I loved it so much I paid to see it twice in the theatre! Could you elaborate on that?
I liked the idea for Butterfly Effect and I had the fact that I saw the second one before the first one so my rating might be higher for it than it would be if it was reversed. However I did drop my rating by 1.5 I think it was for BE2 after seeing BE.
I have to admit with Mr. Brooks I didn't see it all in one sitting and watched part of it when kind of distracted as well as being tired (I fell asleep and resumed the next day from where I could remember from. I may try and see it again as you speak highly of it. I don't know, it felt like it never really got going. I remember liking the idea though so it most probably would go up on a rewatch even if only slightly.
