* People tend, when they hear acting, to think of serious roles, you may seem comedic roles, it's still good acting if they can make you laugh and buy into the character
* Beyond year order, its just ordered as they come to mind, not in terms of one better than the other

Very nice list so far. 1999 is a good cinematic year to start any list off with. My favorite performance of 1999 would have to be Jim Broadbent's portrayal of Gilbert S. Sullivan in Topsy-Turvy. One of my all-time favorite performances on film. If you haven't seen it, I would highly recommend a watch. A terrific ensemble on the whole.
