Favorites: Women of Rock

Most of these great artists would probably resent being on this list, as opposed to a list open to all rock artists, but with the vast majority of rock artists being men, I thought this list could be interesting.

Two notes: I think I stole this idea from somebody (jblack maybe?), and whoever it is, I pay tribute! Secondly, because on the aforementioned list a huge debate about Aretha occured, let me refer readers to my "Female Soul Singers" list; The Queen of Soul is enshrined there, at the top of the list.
