As always, I was able to fool ol Saint Nick into thinking I was a good boy this year and he brought me some wonderful gifts. I thought we could have a forum to share our Xmas booty. I always find it interesting what others buy for me.

Stumpy thanks for the compliment. The funny thing is the 78's were the gift that had to come the farthest too. My Sister in Law got them for me and she had them packed like they were gold. I think my wife is regretting the Victrola purchase as that just adds something else I can collect and clutter up her house. Looking at your Vinyl collection lists I fear you may run into the same problem.
I'd love to play, but with various family gatherings that stretch through the end of the year, I'm not done giving or receiving yet. So I'll have to post a follow-up, but for starters my wife and mother-in-law whet in on a Sony Clie for me, which replaces the antiquated Palm III I've been using for years.
Okay, I can round this out now. I also was given Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Tombstone, and Season 2 of The Simpsons on DVD, and an extra battery for my digital camera. A good year!
... AND an extra memory card for said camera.

This is an unusually tough year for me to predict. In my enthusiasm for Kill Bill I put a couple Tarantino movies on my wishlist, so one of them might show up. But beyond that I'm not sure - could be anything from a mix of movies, books, or music, and that doesn't even count the folks that try to surprise me. There's that Raiders box set, every Far Side in creation, a new Easy Rawlins book, a couple full seasons of various TV shows, one of my favorite Paul Newman movies, a nice set of tongs for the grill, I could go on and on...

Alrighty, the tally is in! A very good year for me: The Complete Far Side, The Complete Indiana Jones (side note: I hate the revisionist renaming of the first movie to "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark)), Lone Wolf and Cub volume 1, 2004 World Almanac, Season Three of The Simpsons, Reservoir Dogs, Oxo 16" tongs for the grill, collector's edition of the board game Risk, a nice shirt, and lots of candy and good food with family. How 'bout you?
Lets see, The Jam's box set Driection Reaction Creation. DVD's of All About Eve, The Hustler and Rear Window. Joey Pants autbigraphy. Trivial Pursuit the POP Culture DVD edition. (I think it will be a long time before I am beate at this game)
Lots of pictures of my beautiful daughter in various frames and mouse pads etc....
A good yearfor me but a great year over all because of the the gift that came home in october
