* = countries I have lived in

I've been to:

Germany (Munich and Dusseldorf)
France (all-over)
Italy (Rome, Milan, Venice, and ski-ing in the Dolomites)
Morocco (Tangier, Marrakech, Asilah)
Switzerland (ski-ing)
Austria (ski-ing)
Malta
USA (Houston, Boston)
Australia (Melbourne and Sydney)
Singapore (four days - on way back from Oz)
UAE (Abu Dhabi)
Dhubai (stop-over)
England (where I live)
Scotland (I lived there for four years)
Wales

I've not been to Luxembourg (yet).

And . . . tomorrow, I fly to Cyprus for a two-week holiday.

Have a nice journey in Cyprus!

P.S.: How was Scotland? I really want to go to Scotland in two or three years.

It is a beautiful country, and the people are very friendly. I worked in Glasgow for three years but commuted into the city from where I lived near Loch Lomond. Whilst Glasgow is a much improved city in recent years, Edinburgh is supposedly nicer, though I only visited there a few times.

I also worked on Shetland for nine months, and on the isle of Lewis (the Outer Hebrides) for five months. Both were very different from Glasgow and Loch Lomond. Glasgow is a busy industrial city and Loch Lomond is a little commercialised (not too bad) with many outsiders (like me).

Shetland and Lewis were more natural Scotland, but not typical. Shetland is very flat with no trees, but warmer than expected (it is affected by the gulf stream) and full of wildlife. Lewis is also affected by the gulf stream (but less so), and has trees and hills.

Thank you for your detailed answer. ;-)

I missed Portugal off my list.

To pro :

" How was Scotland? I really want to go to Scotland in two or three years"

and it appears you did it

And I have been to most places of Belgium, France, Luxembourg and various parts of The Netherlands, Germany, UK (England, Wales and Jersey), Spain, Andorra, Italy, Turkey, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Poland, Malaysia, The Philippines, Morocco and will soon discover Montenegro.
