Author Comments:
Some had a few minor hits, but these artists had a definite narrow window when they were popular (one song, maybe one album with a few singles). They made the (mostly) early nineties a fun time...

Mathew Sweet is more like a 5 or 6 hit wonder. I like Primitave Radio Gods. How about that New Young Radicals cut, "You Get What You Give"?
I like that song, and the album it came off of isn't too shabby either...

Weezer and Cake have more than one or two hits. Or at least that's the impression I get from their airplay. But other than that good list.
PS: The Verve "Bittersweet Symphony"
Definitely. "Bittersweet Symphony" is a really great song. As far as Weezer's concerned, most stations I've heard play at most three of their songs, all off of the first album. In the comments section I tried to expand the definition to include artists with one hit album, even if there were a few songs on it. In this day of multiple single albums, its pretty common for an artist to fade away even after one pretty popular album. Maybe I'm stretching too far; that's always possible. Cake has had a few more hits, although more minor ones; I like them so I included them anyway. If I make the rules I can break them, right? ;)

Shannon Moon and Blind Melon were only short-lived because of his death...Try Soup, Soul One, Mouth Full of Cavities, Change, and Galaxie which are all great songs. This guy would have made a major impact on music throughout the 90's. Check out his performance on Change if you can catch Woodstock '94 on T.V. Unreal...
