Just a list of relatively large cities I've been to and spent some significant amount of time in, with about how much time I've spent in each city.

You've lived in Seattle for 6 years and have only been to Portland twice and Vanouver once!
Yeah, it's sort of amazing. I went to school there and figured I'd have enough time to get out and see things. Before I knew it, I was graduated and trying to find a job and then no longer in Seattle. Opportunities squandered...
Where are you now?
Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Definitely dryer than Seattle.
Yeah, it's definitely a big change being in a place that is perpetually in a state of drought. But, it's a cool place. I do miss the bigger city at times, though.
Did you participate in the running of the bulls or did were you a spectator? Either way, that must have been indelible.
Also, how was Denmark?
I was a spectator, but I was lucky and some friends had access to a balcony overlooking the street, so I had a very good view of things. It is amazing watching the bulls run through the streets. I'm surprised more people don't get hurt and that the bulls actually make it to the ring, as they keep sliding on the stone streets and crashing into barriers.
Denmark was nice. Copenhagen has a very active night life, with discotechs open until dawn. And the city itself is nice too, with lots of pedestrian only streets and restaurants, bars and shops. It is a very nice city.
I didn't see much more of Denmark, but did make it to a Viking museum and the north coast, which were all nice.
Only 3 days in London, Buber? And how did you enjoy Sicily? I'm heading to Italy for 11 days in September, though I'm only going as far south as Naples.
Yeah, it was in the middle of a very long business trip (1 week in Helsinki, 1 week in UK with visits to London, Loughborough, Sheffield and Reading), 1 week in Spain and 10 days in Erice.
Erice was nice but I doubt it is typical Sicily. It is a small tourist town at the top of a mountain with little transportation down to the coast. There is an institute which hosts summer schools and that is why I was there. It had it's charm and would be nice to visit for a day or two, but 10 days was way too many. We were trapped without much to do other than listen to lectures.
Welcome back buber!
Thanks Jim. I'll try to be more visible than in the recent past. :)
