So if Eyes Wide Shut doesn't have the best directing, acting, screenplay, cinematography, or music of the 90s, what do you like so much about it? Or does it just have a good balance of all the elements?
balance has something to do with it... besides having amazing directing it really is a film which baffles me, everything fits together so perfectly without much standing out on its own... if you can see what i mean.
also the direction one could easily change, they are so close, probably even, i only really gave the edge to sydney because eyes won best picture, for balance
I can. That makes sense. Thanks!
Good to see you recognise what a great script David Webb Peoples' "Unforgiven" is. But we must also thank Clint Eastwood for recognising its quality after lots of other producers failed to. No doubt they thought the western was dead.
actually my understanding was that eastwood held on to it since the late 70's or early 80's until he was old enough for the part, back when the western wasn't quite dead... but still, your right, he did still make it even though at the time he actually did make it, the western was dead.
