I don't usually cry much in general but noticed that at least a couple of books lately made me do so.

Perhaps I have a heart of flint, but only one book has ever made me cry. Curiously, several movies have. The book was Ten Rillington Place by Ludovic Kennedy. It tells the true story of John Christie, a serial killer in Britain in the 50s, who was eventually caught and hanged, but not before another man, Timothy Evans, was hanged for two murders that Christie almost certainly committed. The case was a huge factor in the abolition of the death penalty in Britain.

I tend to cry easily while reading because I'm very sensitive and visual.
I visualize the story in my head like it's real, like watching a movie.
The ones I remember:

Germinal by Emile Zola made me cry for the horses story.
The Stepford Wives by Ira Levin, at the ending.
Animal Farm by George Orwell, for the horse again...
Novecento by Alessandro Baricco, at some parts.
