First off thanks to Dgeiser for posting the links to the Sight and Sound lists. I have been fascinated. Here is 28 movies that shocked me because they actually recieved votes. Most of them only got one vote but still it is hard to figure. These are only movies that I actually have seen.
Now this list is funny. You know, Marnie is one of the only films I have ever seen that was completely and hopelessly ruined by its ending. My goodness, I (and everybody else I watched it with) was rolling with laughter at the 'dramatic' finale. It was like a joke. I mean, Hitchcock has always had a bit of a problem with ending his films, but did he just fall asleep here?

I've heard numerious people wax on about Addiction's daring metaphors, but they never kept me from getting rather bored with the damned thing.

Holy moly. Any shame I felt with my proposed 20 has been completely dispelled by this list. It's amazing to compare this list with your Critically Surprising list. Car Wash gets a vote while everything on the other list leaves empty-handed?! Stunning.
