My first shot at this, so these are probably easy, but each clue is the FIRST line or phrase of a song-Have fun. UPDATE: I must admit, I'm a little disappointed in the results of this quiz. I thought there were a few obscure selections, sure; but ,I thought, for the most part; these were relatively easy. Maybe there's just no love for the Pivvclam. Sigh. Oh, well, I need some closure on this, so here are the answers.

I also have number 14 on my quiz, so I'll pass that one by... :)

Great song.

I'll give a day or two, then I'll dive in, though I am not recalling quite as many as I feel I should.

Shalom, y'all!

L. Bangs

Actually, I put that one in there especially for you.:)

Number 23 is Beastie Boys, Shake Your Rump, Paul's Boutique

Thank you stranger, that is correct

28. is A great Gram Parsons tune called Streets of Baltimore from his GP album

15. Grandpa was a Carpenter by John Prine

17. Hot Child in the City by Nick Gilder

21. First I look at the Purse which J Geils did a great version of but I believe was a Contours song originally.

14. is a Rapid Eye Movement song but I will be damned if I can remember which one.

I know some more but I will leave for others to ponder...

I love the Geils version of First I Look at the Purse, too. Somebody brought up Geils on the Listology the other day, so I slipped that one in there. You are correct on 14, maybe it will come to you later

14. Flower of Guatamala - REM

tdunnie

Correct, off the great underappreciated Life's Rich Pageant album

Ah, don't be too disappointed clam. I think it's a combination of there being too many of these type lists on the site and us knowing that someone else might "search engine" the lyric while we're sittin' there for a half-hour trying to convince ourselves that Alzheimers hasn't set in yet. : )

I think stumpy's nailed it, Mr. Clam. It's certainly nothing personal. Well, I suppose I can't speak for the entire Listology community, but it wasn't personal for me! Also, I suck at these lyric quizzes. I'm no great shakes at the movie quote quizzes either.
