I spent my first 29 years being deciding unhandy (all those genes skipped me and jumped right to my younger brother). So I've been working hard to correct that (miraculously, I still have all my fingers). While I still know next to nothing about cars, I feel better about home projects.
A note on the Complete Illustrated Guide... and the catalog entries - for me, knowing that a tool/part exists is half the battle. Now, when confronted with a problem I can say, "I think they make a tool/part that..."
