I have seen over 50 2002 movies so far and these 29 are the ones I would recommend to anyone who likes films. Some have flaws and none of them really stand out as truly great but I enjoyed watching them which is really all you can ask from a movie.

These are movies that I will watch that I think have the best shot of making this list

The Hours
Talk to Her
Spirited Away
Bowling for Columbine
Catch Me if You Can
The Pianist
Movern Callar
25th Hour
Frida
Rabbit Proof Fence
Auto Focus
Solaris
Secretary
Roger Dodger
One Hour Photo

Certain movies like Y Tu Mambien,Italian for Beginners and 13 Conversations were not included because they are listed as 2001 or 2000 movies on IMDB.

Well, I'm glad that you liked The Fast Runner. It is sitting at home on my floor awaiting me!

Its a good movie. Its about twenty minutes too long and the beginning is a little confusing but there are some very remarkable scenes and the story kind of grabs you and wont let you go...

I finally saw The Fast Runner, and I really liked it. Certainly one of the most interesting and beautiful films of the year.

Thanks. That's a good description. I think I pretty much agree with your assessment. I liked it. Perhaps not quite as much as I hoped, but still, I liked it quite a bit.

This may as well be my "to see" list. I assume these are ranked?

Nope not ranked. I used the numbering option when I created the list to lazily add up the number of films and then I forgot to uncheck it. That has been corrected. I was going to rank them but none really jumped out as number 1 so I stayed away from ranking.... If you really pushed me I would say Sunshine State was my favorite movie so far...

Well, if you check out my top fourteen, we seem to have similar reactions to the year that was 2002.
I hate to be a list whore, but have you checked out my wrap-up of the film year? It's under NKT Awards, I'd love to know what you agree and disagree with.

I will venture over there soon and comment away....
