2005: Movies Seen in January

  • The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou - Liked this one a whole lot more the second time, and I think a lot of that has to do with Bill Murray's performance. He creates one of the best characters he's ever portrayed, and the depth of Steve Zissou's soul is far more interesting than I initially thought.
  • Lost in Translation - Oh God, I'm so glad I watched this tonight. What a brilliant, wrenching movie. I guess I'm on something of a Bill Murray kick.

The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, i agree is by far murray's best. i'll have to see it a secand time also. i loved the moment where we see a side shot of steve shooting into a room with 20 gun in hand pirates..and he runs in! that was so funny. The Best Movie Ever Made.

Listology is big enough now that it took me unforgivably long to notice this, but I'm bummed that you're no longer keeping up your movie lists! All good things must come to an end, I know, but thought I'd lament nonetheless.
