Title (Director) [rating]
[under review]: I told myself to get tougher with the ratings this year (2005); these ratings are from 2004 or earlier, and I plan to revisit these films and see if they hold up.
[approximate rating]: Just a guess based on how strongly I feel about these films right now; some of these I haven't seen in 10+ years.
Rating system, adapted from the one used by SteveR:
100-97 = All-time favorite
96-90 = Fantastic; best of the year
89-80 = Remarkable
79-70 = Very Good
69-60 = Good
59-50 = Okay
49-40 = Mediocre
39-30 = Bad
29-20 = Horrible
19-10 = Torture
9-1 = Would end a war if dropped on opposing country
0 = Uwe Boll

You should see Serpico...it's an excellent film, with a great performance by Al Pacino. One of Sidney Lumet's best films.
Nice to see some love for Westworld!
Yeah, the only version of Serpico I've seen is the one directed by Max Fischer :-) I need to catch up with the real thing.
Westworld is awesome, but it should be noted that I consider the prologue (the TV interviewer) to be a studio-mandated add-on, regardless of the historical fact of the situation. To anyone who's never seen it, please, just skip past the interviewer and go straight to Richard Benjamin and James Brolin -- you won't miss anything.
62 for Don't Look Now? Sure about that? I mean really sure? REALLY? According to your scale, that means good? GOOD? Not more? Just GOOD?

yocineo, ¿y tú?
I just noticed that most of my recent posts consist of questioning other people's ratings...
I'm like an old goat. Baa! Baa! Baa!
Now I'll find sth. where I agree with you. Hmm...lets see... Mean Streets?...66?... Just 66?...One of Scorsese's best? 66?...
Oh no, I do it again...Sorry! Baa! Baa! :-)

yocineo, ¿y tú?
Well, remember, that's just an approximate rating, based on my how I feel now about a movie I haven't seen in probably over 10 years. If you compare my approximate ratings with the new ratings when I see a movie again, the ratings can jump up 20 or more points.
In other words: there's still hope. :-)
