Why Grapes of Wrath? Certainly not his best work, or his most interesting.
I L-O-V-E The Grapes of Wrath. For me it'd be a close call with East of Eden, and Of Mice and Men would rank on #3
I H-A-T-E Faust, and Goethe in general (and I'm not afraid to say that out loud :-)) I like your other choices, though.
Wow. I liked Faust much more than I'd ever have expected. But yes, maybe it's a matter of taste. ;)

No, but I've heard of that book a couple of times. I enjoyed Steinbeck, King and Frisch, so maybe I should try some other books from your list. Is it in a particular order?
No, no, just as they came to my mind. I'd especially recommend sth. by Ephraim Kishon whose satires are highly enjoyable.
