Author Comments:

Let this year be better than the last. Please.

Waitress rules. I wasn't familiar with the late Adrienne Shelley before this, so I've been meaning to go back and check out some of her other work.

And it has Nathan Fillion in it which, for me, nearly sealed the deal before it even came out. Though I am pleased to report that, not even considering my bias, he and the entire cast give some of the strongest performances of the year.

If "Baby Don't You Cry" doesn't win Best Original Song at the Oscars...

Then again, I'm still futilely protesting in response to the boring "Into the West" winning over the beautiful "There's a Kiss at the End of the Rainbow" like three years ago...

I knew Ms. Shelley primarily from Hal Hartley's awesome Trust. I was encouraged to hear that her posthumous project was actually pretty good, so I'll probably give it a look-see on video.

Are you absolutely sure you want to see The Tripper?

Can't help it -- it's a sickness.
