Cloned From:

I've only listed movies that have gotten an official commercial release in '07, or are currently scheduled for one. See you next year, Rivette.
It's too late in the year to try to rank these, so I'm just listing them by rating. The scale explained, with a corresponding John Carpenter movie to illustrate each rating:
10- Masterpiece, one of the year's very best (Assault on Precinct 13)
9- Near-masterpiece (The Thing)
8- Pretty doggone awesome (They Live)
7- Highly recommended (Big Trouble in Little China)
6- Above average, "a mild thumbs up™" (Christine)
5- Mediocre, passable but ininspiring (Vampires)
4- Below average, has redeeming facet (In the Mouth of Madness)
3- Bad but not offensively so (Ghosts of Mars)
2- Terrible (Memoirs of An Invisible Man)
1- Worthless (Village of the Damned)
0- Unspeakable (the pornos he made with the dude from Hogan's Heroes- wait, wrong Carpenter)
