  • Animal Collective - "Who Could Win a Rabbit" is one of those songs that I liked when I first heard it, but every successive listen has made me love it even more. Not to mention that Sung Tongs may be the best albums to come out of New York in the past few years.
  • Cannibal Ox - Smart rap with incisive social commentary. I played this last night on a whim, and couldn't stop listening and gasping. Wonderful stuff.
  • Girls Aloud - An all girl British pop group that rocks my world. This whole European pop movement is definitely a trend I'm loving.
  • LCD Soundsystem - DFA can not only produce great music, but can make it too!
  • Sonic Youth - I know, I know...I'm about two decades too late, but I've just been completely out of the loop. So, I downloaded Daydream Nation , but I didn't really give it a listen, and then I gave Sonic Nurse another spin, and realized that it was a work of genius. So, I gave Daydream Nation a few more listems, and realized that it may be one of the best things I've ever heard in my life. It may have been made in 1987, but it sounds like it could have been made yesterday.
