Yeah, it's a nice surprise. Just when you think movies are always going to get the lion's share of the attention on this site, music manages to pull an upset. Actually, I haven't run the numbers in awhile, but I think books are the most neglected category lately, if not in general.
Voted for The Shins, with Cat Power and Outkast a close second.
I've been very pleasantly surprised by how many people have heard the Cat Power album. Great music!
So far, I'm the only person here who favors Oh, Inverted World quite a bit more than Chutes Too Narrow. Maybe I just need to listen to it more...

lbangs, may I vote for Elephant, or would it screw up the veracity of this poll? On the one hand, it's the only album on this list that I've heard, but on the other hand, I really love it, and you would have a hard time convincing me that I would like one of the other 9 better. But, it's your call. Lemme know if you'll let me vote.
Go for it. I doubt many have heard every album above, and besides, what albums one seeks out has to say something about one's taste. (Can I write a more clunky sentence? Ah, Monday mornings...) I encourage everybody who has heard at least one album on here to vote!
